I don't follow Kevin's logic here. Does he think his toy works like a Schrodinger's cat, where it remains broken and unbroken at the same time until he opens the box? I refuse to believe that for a toy worth $700 and was purchased through the premium Hasbro Plus service (or whatever it's called), the toy doesn't come with some type of extended warranty. Either way finding out sooner than later to lodge a complaint is better in all cases because Hasbro's priority to fix it will decrease with time. Also it's funny that Kevin's decision to just give up before even knowing there's an issue was because of some friend's dubious sounding personal anecdote that Hasbro sent him another broken toy as compensation.
His whole story is bullshit and there just to cause drama conversations as his life is that vapid. It's easier now than ever to document and make legitimate shipping damage claims which the vendor would recoup from the shipper. They would send a replacement of what was damaged, not some other, unrelated item.
