Well I really wasn't expecting it to happen so soon, but stuff is already being ported off the PS3 and Vita store and being brought over to PS4 and PS5.
More games like Daytona and Sonic are expected, now if they're 100% direct ports they'll share the same trophy list usually.
I just hope stuff starts getting a physical release. I've collected all of the sega collections including the non-at games micro console. They don't really go beyond the Genesis and the Saturn and Dreamcast only got like 1 or 2 collections in the west.

It's all right, but Ace Combat is better if you don't mind jets instead of spaceships. Much more varied missions and stories.

Is never gonna be Sonic vs Mario again. As much as a consoom marketing gimmick the sega vs nintendo feud was it was really fun and both companies were doing cool shit, now everyone is gay and their shit's all retarded, including PC gaming. Americans getting so much into vidya and making consoles was also a mistake, i don't care how weeb it sounds , gaming was better when it was mostly a japanese thing.

It was never a mostly Japanese thing though though. Pre-NES many console manufacturers were western. Post NES the only reason why console wars started was due to the American divisions in the first place. The Japanese based JRPGs off of western RPGs like Ultima, the Soulsborne games were made to go against Elder Scrolls. it's always been like 50/50.

You can make Argument's about Cross's story being underrated but the gameplay in that game is nowhere near as good as Chrono Trigger (which is saying something because C-T has a gigantic Issue gameplay wise)
FF8 is on par with FF2 in how fucking jank the gameplay is.

Pre Nes gaming was pretty shit and the entire industry ended up crashing. I dont' care for western crprgs and i think all those dungeon crawlers and elder scroll games are truly awful but in any case, one genre influencing another is not the same as americans driving the market like they have done for the last couple decades when western devs and microsoft have thrown infinite money at it. In the 90s both of the consoles in the console wars were japanese and the biggest titles were all japanese, thats the best gaming has ever been.

Actually the west drove sales for all the companies in the 90's. Pokemon only became a major thing because of North America. Sega died because it failed to take root in America post genesis.
During this time we also had games on PC, many of which were all western made like Diablo 2, Starcraft, Civilization, Myst, Riven, anything by Lucas Arts,
During the PS3/Xbox360/Wii era the two groups merged together.

Dragon Age : Origins is a shit game. I picked it up again because I remember enjoying it back in the day and it hasn’t held up. It sucks because I do enjoy parts of the combat, but it’s poorly implemented. The setting was ok, but it never felt cohesive, and the story is a little dull. It falls into the same trap a lot of RPGS fall into, where the only real way to level up is by combat.
Any RPG that relies on constant leveling up is a shitty game. Half of the game should be dedicated to leveling up, the other half should be about managing tactics and planning against encounters. Fire Emblem is especially egregious, as any sensible tactics you would employ often get overturned in favor of ridiculously dangerous moves that you only employ to keep everyone balanced out. I’d rather a game that was dangerous even using the safe and sensible strategy, rather than the one that forced you to be retarded.
