It's going to work out like the college girls who say they're "totally lesbian" and then marry a guy shortly after they graduate. Sooner or later there's going to be a rash of detransitions among people who did it to boost their careers. They'll probably try to avoid the public eye but if they have any celebrity status left people are going to take notice and ask them what's up. If being trans is an immutable part of a person's identity that must be acknowledged lest they neck themselves, how can someone leave it behind like a bad fashion trend?
It'll be fun to watch one it gets started.
It's funny you mention this as it kinda relates to something that's been on my mind for a while: what about the kids who are rushed along the transition path by their parents? I remember reading a magazine story about a child getting transitioned:

The main focus of the story was an 11 year old who opted to transition, Olie Pullen. His mother was, of course, naturally supportive of his decision to transition. (The article completely omitting that
the mother is a social worker academic who is focused on "oppressed and marginalized groups." She apparently has a degree in ethics, which is a shame as I don't think she's really utilized it while turning her son into a guinea pig.) (

Anyway, this article came out like 7 years ago. If you google Olie Pullen, you can see a lot of posts from 6-8 years ago, but there's scant Current Year information floating around. Best I could find is a group picture of what I think is Olie
on his mom's Twitter from 2 years ago.

What about their socials?
Twitter has been scrubbed save for one Tweet about some weeb anime shit.
Facebook looks like it has been abandoned.
Their Instagram is also shuttered, sounding a little ominous:
I'm wondering if they had a slow realization that maybe trooning out wasn't the best call, or if they resented the fact that their mother decided to turn him into a cover story for a nationally read Canadian magazine:
I do think that transtrending is a thing, and we're going to be seeing a lot of detransitioning, suicides and other shit happen in the coming years. We're seeing arguments about "social contagion" occurring amongst troon clusters, to explain how you get huge anomalies in what is supposedly a 'very small' segment of the population. It reminds me a lot of when I was in high school and the attention seekers declared they were bisexual or gay, yet 10+ years later they're happily married and living a domesticated life. I think we'll be seeing this here as well, but with more permanent scars and damage being done.
