Oh I agree completely. They can't dismiss what he writes, so they're poisoning the well instead. It was actually what brought him to my attention in the first place. Anyone who's read that infamous Atlantic-article will not be able to recognize the description of it - he's being incredibly fair. Katie Herzog and him actually talked about it on their podcast recently - that disconnect between the troons' perception of them and what they've actually written. I think Herzog is much closer to just giving any troon activist the finger than Singal is, but I do hope that this latest shitstorm makes him realize that it's not just the loud voices that are completely psychotic, but every.single.troon.

On the other hand, it's been a lot of fun reading them both teasing the TRA's that every time they pull this shit, their subscriptions go up. People are indeed voting with their wallets (me included).

Lots of languages don’t have gendered pronouns, though. And English used to have all nouns be gendered, like German does now, and they didn’t get added back. He/She/It both descend from what is in a sense the same word just with the three Germanic genders. When grammatical gender in general was lost, it was preserved on this set of pronouns, presumably because it's very convenient. However, there's no reason that had to happen, it didn't happen in Persian which also lost its PIE-inherited grammatical gender ~2000ya and was left with a single third-person pronoun (او) for all animate things.

One wonders what obsession would've filled the pronoun hole, if English had gone that way.

Yes, my point was exactly this: English may have very well gone the way of having only one gender-neutral pronoun. But how can you be a special they/them if everyone is called the same pronoun?

As someone who lactated for years (something this dude has never done in his life), there are many problems even for normal new mothers to establish lactation for breast feeding. It isn't easy to get a good supply, lots of things can go wrong including mastitis and infections, and most women give up breast feeding quite early for this reason. The vast majority of women in the civilized world do not breast feed the recommended 6 months, they either supplement with bottles or give up breast feeding altogether after a month or so.

For him to be so dismissive of something any mother knows is quite challenging, shows how very little these deluded men understand women's biology.

Breast feeding is hard, you could be one of those woman who can produce a half gallon of milk a fortnight, but you can feel like you’re not your own person. This combo can kill a sexual relationship, these pornsick men don’t see this reality. They will never understand what motherhood is like. Motherhood is a fantasy to masturbate to.

Oh, and spontaneous lactation is sign of a brain tumor or breast cancer. Having your nipple sucked on will not induced lactation, or else women with husbands who love breasts will be lactating. A man lactating used to be seen as very worrisome but now if a man takes mysterious pills from China, he can get first dibs on skin-to-skin contact and breastfeeding.

Do you happened to have numbers on this? Not that I can't see this as very realistic but just isn't my experience. That could be just my relatives as they have had issues of having too much milk and that definitely can be just a family trait.
