FtMs might try to intrude on Male spaces, but they're not very good at it. They see occasional success when there is overhead moderation that is woke enough to let them in and ban guys who say "go away", but in physical spaces they have a little less luck because you can't just ban a guy irl who doesn't acknowledge them as a "man". I'm certain if FtMs had the strength or anything male about them they would try harder, but as it stands MtFs are the ones doing heavy lifting in matters of intrusion. It isn't revisionism to mention someone's sex posthumously because it's a tangible, measurable factor. Being trans is, in the modern sense, an ideology. Sex is not.

I think they do but only when an actual gay male friend invites them, which I always assume they only do because they’re fed up with her asking and they know it’s going to be brutal but at this point she deserves it for hassling him. I don’t think they’re brave enough to roll up without escort.

He's in the middle of what is (by my count) the third "transphobe"-shitstorm. He's being incredibly fair, to the point of incredulity, and put out an hour and a half podcast with a tranny doctor to stem this latest wave, but it didn't help.

There is a persistent narrative that he chases trannies, but there's never been any actual evidence - it's just "known fact". The TQ's are upset that people they don't like get to make a living. The irony of it all is that he's been extremely fair to the troons, but nothing less than obeisance will satisfy.

Here's what I think is really going on with Singal. The cycle is "Jesse Singal is a transphobe who is literally murdering me," then when asked for a single thing he has ever said that can be interpreted as negative about trans-, if you get a response at all besides "I'm not here to educate you," it's either something completely fabricated, or "well in looking for it I found he's written 500 articles about trans people, why is he so OBSESSED with us, he must be a chaser!"

Obviously if there was anything there they would cite it. The problem isn't any specific things he's said while reporting fairly and objectively on trans issues, it's *the fact that* he's approaching these issues as a journalist. Any observation of trans behavior from the point of "I'm simply going to describe what I see as neutrally as possible" or "I'm going to try to find a verifiable explanation for this behavior with a properly established scientific basis" is what the activists hate, because anyone who looks at the trans movement from any perspective besides pre-judged ideological "allyship" will always see how much nonsense, self-contradiction, predatory behavior, and denial of reality is involved in trans activism. Someone who is not cancellable for a specific statement of "I think trans X is bad" and has a years-long record of credibility as an extremely even-handed, respectful chronicler of trans issues is their worst nightmare, because he will always expose their psychosis in a way that is credible to reasonable people making policy decisions, in a way that a Bible-thumper or 8chan edgelord cannot do without being written off as just as bad in the other direction.

The more Singal becomes Dickgirl Enemy #1 and the more they use the strategy of fabricated quotes to try to cancel him, the more diligent he becomes about keeping records of every interaction he ever has with a source. If someone on Twitter called "TERFLord89" posts a meme about trans stupidity, liberal-minded parents of some 12 year old being recruited by the gender cult will easily find a reason to ignore it, if they ever encounter it at all. When Jesse Singal publishes articles about the effects of giving hormones to children in the mainstream media, he does it with a tone that those people can't write off and 500 pages of citations for every paragraph he writes. This is what the trans jihadists fear most.

Oh I agree completely. They can't dismiss what he writes, so they're poisoning the well instead. It was actually what brought him to my attention in the first place. Anyone who's read that infamous Atlantic-article will not be able to recognize the description of it - he's being incredibly fair. Katie Herzog and him actually talked about it on their podcast recently - that disconnect between the troons' perception of them and what they've actually written. I think Herzog is much closer to just giving any troon activist the finger than Singal is, but I do hope that this latest shitstorm makes him realize that it's not just the loud voices that are completely psychotic, but every.single.troon.

On the other hand, it's been a lot of fun reading them both teasing the TRA's that every time they pull this shit, their subscriptions go up. People are indeed voting with their wallets (me included).
