Here's the thing, it's more the feeling of helplessness at the fact there's nothing they can do as the left has carte blanche to do whatever they want and rub it in our faces because it makes for good PR and goes with the right narrative. Not only that, but any Call of Duty skills are powerless to stop the potential opponent you'll face if you decide to stop talking and do something about it if 1/6 is any indication. Not only that, but leftists are ready to go cook up some shit with Super Mario Maker because when you can get away with shit, even be seen as a hero for it, it's only natural to test the limits of what you can get away with, especially when you're dedicated to your cause and can only feel hatred.

So it's not anger, it's not sadness, it's the last cries of those who see the progressive utopia to come, and have no desire to be a part of it, if not resentment for the future they know is coming.

People in other parts of the country know that the rioters sacked the police station in Minneapolis. People in other parts of the country know that for every 9 "peaceful protesters" there's 1 fucking clown who is there to break shit, and the "peaceful protesters" are useful idiots.

I know I've powerleveled on this before but I have a friend who is a salaried print journalist for a major paper in California, and he said that his bosses told him to downplay the violence of the riot he covered. He's a big, strong guy, not scared of guns, politically centrist, not a pussy and he said he was scared. Reporters were getting their shit stolen, one reporter had his hand broken, my friend had a guy flash a gun at him in a threatening manner, and the paper didn't report on any of this.

Critical thinking is not a totally dead art on the left.

The idiots that decided to rally on 1/6 did not go to clean out Minneapolis, Portland, Seattle, or any other city infested with Antifa/BLM.
They hauled their useless asses to the Capitol building so they could rant, take selfies, and be a general nuisance for a day.
They weren't standing up for America, they were bored and wanted attention.

You forgot not armered riot or insurrection because they did not bring weapons ( followed notice for the event) & larped for less time than Antifa/BLM but annoyed Wealth Elities More.

BLM/Antifa got full legal excuse by member in congress for not protesting during the day.

Economic left and socially conservative is a winning combination, so much of a winning combination that it is essentially banned by the powers that be. There are literally studies showing that such a combination of politics is barely represented by politicians since all politicians who try and do that either moderate their economic views and stop trying to smash up Big Capital or moderate their social views and become yet another "more immigrants more diversity" politician.

The current closest thing to this is the so-called "far-right" in Europe, most of which have views indistinguishable from those held by social democratic politicians a few decades ago (as in pro-nationalism, limited immigration and immigrants must assimilate, let's help our people first, etc.). Some of them do pay more lipservice to capitalism/free market but they tend to support welfare, public healthcare, etc.

If you broke up the big banks, kept our troops home, trimmed the fat from the budget, you'd probably barely need to raise taxes (and could do it on the uppermost classes, don't forget to review the tax code and close loopholes) and would now have a lot of money to start handing out to new social programs as well as programs that give people good-paying jobs like ICE and Border Patrol to start deporting illegals. Or hiring more prison guards and building new prisons to deal with overcrowding, since a lot of people from bankers to joggers would be doing time since those scumbag DAs would ideally be the first people in those prisons (or sued into oblivion for letting rioters go free).

Point of government has ALWAYS been to give handouts, that's why people submit to it's authority. This is true even in tribal societies where you obey the village chief and pay tribute to him because he'll give something back to you and your family.

That taylor chick's death was fucked but to have rallies for her one year later (complete with property damage and innocents caught in the crossfire) doesn't make sense. Her family got paid millions of dollars by the town but the cops involved walked free. Her mom saying she "still wants justice" after getting paid so much just translates to "we want more money or those cops dead so commence the chimpout until they gibsmedat". Sucks you lost your daughter but fuck off sheboon, you can't get everything you want.

And now with floyd's family getting double the amount taylor's family got, it looks like the exact same thing is going to happen but worse. Taylor's death anniversary chimpout seems like it was a warmup for floyd's death anniversary chimpout coming soon. And if so, this might mean chauvin will walk too.

Knowing all that, what can be done to stop it? It's not racist to refuse to die for cop and negro games going south.

They're happy to report on journalists being harmed by the police though even when it's obviously an accident (that reporter hit by a tear gas canister in Cal Anderson Park) or when the "journalists" in question have the same credentials as protester "medics".

It's notable that Brendan Gutenschwager got roughed up by the cops and arrested but he got back out on the street as soon as possible and didn't seem to cry about it.

Their fantasies about gulaging all of us can only work with a functioning authoritarian state, but they can still do plenty under dysfunction. I'd rather be left alone than have to protect myself with violence.

This is, incidentally, why I've completely soured on the left despite being left-aligned all my life. They won't honor the basic principle of leaving alone people who have done nothing to them.

Even with the coof, most people have shit to do.

Jobs, families, pets, school.

They might be able to take a day and go protest, but they're going to go home at a reasonable hour and get a good night's sleep and all that shit.

The people out busting shit up are the people who aren't going to lose their jobs or have their dogs shit all over the floor or whatever if they get locked up on Saturday night and they need to wait until Monday to get bailed out.
