Not sure about that since the American left is in unison about things being “every minority against white people”. I wish I could rate you optimistic, but I agree. It'd be great to get reform, but our current parties are so entrenched with networks, nepotism, and interests, I don't think reform is possible without some giant disruption. I feel like we're at the end of some historic cycle of the elite, where the final generation is so incompetent and insular that they can't hold together the system their ancestors created.

Some of y'all need to consider the idea that your perspectives on what people on the left do or don't believe is framed by the same MSM that (to put it charitably) misleads on every single topic tangentially related to race, policing, the criminal justice system, and so forth.

A lot of boomers have 100% drunk the "peaceful protest" Kool Aid, and then there are the millennial and zoomer dangerhairs who think riots are justified and who unironically think the police are Nazis.

The people in my cohort (Gen X and millennial non-dangerhairs) know that the riots were violent and saw that TV reporters, who were surrounded by bodyguards, packed up and went home once things got rowdy. People in other parts of the country know that the rioters sacked the police station in Minneapolis. People in other parts of the country know that for every 9 "peaceful protesters" there's 1 fucking clown who is there to break shit, and the "peaceful protesters" are useful idiots.

I know I've powerleveled on this before but I have a friend who is a salaried print journalist for a major paper in California, and he said that his bosses told him to downplay the violence of the riot he covered. He's a big, strong guy, not scared of guns, politically centrist, not a pussy and he said he was scared. Reporters were getting their shit stolen, one reporter had his hand broken, my friend had a guy flash a gun at him in a threatening manner, and the paper didn't report on any of this.

Current job is a social media scab moderator, and we are told to provide exceptions for moderation rules for any violence involving police, because its important for posterity and social causes, and to treat any and all other violent acts the way we always have/as content to censor. Does suck, because from what I get, this is pretty common across social media companies.

For Rittenhouse as well, on the platform I mod, we have guidelines for mass murders and for supporting terrorist actions/hate speech. Day 1, before any court hearings- you can guess what guideline the masters wanted us to classify videos sharing support of Kyle under. For multiple strikes, profiles are banned, etc.

A lot of the population is pretty gaslit thanks to a coordinated effort by the media imo, but you also have to remember that a lot of these people have ideological blinders on 24/7 anyways, so the whole demoralization thing is pretty much inevitable at this point and largely has been. Its just only been more reinforced the past few years.

Here's the thing, it's more the feeling of helplessness at the fact there's nothing they can do as the left has carte blanche to do whatever they want and rub it in our faces because it makes for good PR and goes with the right narrative. Not only that, but any Call of Duty skills are powerless to stop the potential opponent you'll face if you decide to stop talking and do something about it if 1/6 is any indication. Not only that, but leftists are ready to go cook up some shit with Super Mario Maker because when you can get away with shit, even be seen as a hero for it, it's only natural to test the limits of what you can get away with, especially when you're dedicated to your cause and can only feel hatred.
