SuperStraight feels like an echo of GamerGate. The stars seem to be lining up the same way, where an isolated incident blows up and the establishment narrative controllers are bound by allegiance to enter a conflict with an amorphous mass of Internet-dwellers.

In the case of GG, it turned into a long quagmire that shaped Internet culture, damaged the credibility of the media and gave them all a case of PTSD that they still suffer from. The beginning was like the Archduke Ferdinand assassination leading to WWI and it led to something like a Vietnam for the media. Maybe SS will blow up the same way or maybe it'll just be a flash in the pan, it's too early to tell.

The super thing is (marginally) less retarded because it was smart enough to include the Terven Hordes early on (enemy of my enemy and all that jazz), and people seem to keeping to "we love you, we're all valid" shtick which is infuriating the troons no end.

Given that normal people are still trying to work out what's so bad about Harry Potter and there's always another gender drama around the next corner (Assistant Sectrary of Health says what?), who knows - Maybe this is the year people finally walk away from this bullshit.

1. The hormones that "cis" people take (whether it's birth control, estrogen for menopause, people with imbalances, or even men who want to 'roid out) is way different than cross-sex hormone treatment.
2. Saying "you don't HAVE to be attracted to/date trans people but I just want you to have an open mind to the possibility" is STILL creepy and being a trancel. It's not outright "suck my girldick, you dyke"-tier rapey but it's still a form of subtle pressure and makes you look pathetic.
