Honestly the ilustartions aren't that hideous as you say, but colors and lightning reminds me of amateur 14 anime artists, but still not that bad

She's a cartoon person in that picture made intentionally chunky.
I can understand that they're cartoon characters but the human is like 5 times as chunky as her actual design. It's intentionally inconstant to pander to tumblr artists like all of the other art in this thread.
