So for anyone wondering what the context is for Jimbo's declaration that the UK is committing genocide against trans people I'll lay it down:

• The British NHS has only one gender identity clinic, the Tavistock Centre
• A previous patient of theirs, Keira Bell, brought a High Court case against them
• At 16 Keira Bell was given puberty blockers by Tavistock after about 3 hours of consultation
• A year later she was prescribed testosterone
• Keira Ended up having a double mastectomy at 20
• Keira eventually discovered she wasn't trans and began de-transitioning, but the changes to her body were permanent
• Keira is only one of thousands of children under 16 who are referred to Tavistock
• She took Tavistock to court claiming they should have challenged her more before prescribing puberty blockers
• The High Court agreed, saying treatment is experimental
• Children under 13 are "highly unlikely to be able to give informed consent"
• "Doubtful" that children between 14 and 15 can understand the long-term consequences of puberty blockers
• The courts now must play a larger role in the treatment of children
• The Tavistock Centre, as a result of the ruling, have immediately suspended all treatment to under-16s
• They plan to appeal

But to GET SRS you need to go through a lot of hoops and therapy and spend years working towards it. No doubt that counts as "trans genocide" because the fuck do words mean anymore, right?

The High Court ruled that the long-term effects are unknown. Maybe they are harmless, but the court stated that the vast majority of kids who were placed on hormone blockers then went on to transition further. Was this a result of those kids actually being trans? Or is the first stage a gateway into an unstoppable snowball effect these kids were pressured into, and continue to be pressured into at every subsequent stage? I have absolutely zero faith in the gender dysphoria doctors and activists at the centre of this.

There's been legal action over it as well. The case of Bell -v- Tavistock Clinic involved a claim of clinical negligence by a trans man (FTM) who was confused about their gender and sexuality and put on puberty blockers as a minor and only was told, in effect, afterwards that this was irreversible.

The case is under appeal. However Jolyon Maugham QC, the SUSSEX FOX MURDERER, is on board for the gender identity clinic and reeeeing about how this decision is literal murder.
