It depends on how much of an impact a $23b hole will have in the overall market. Will other hedgies/banks carry the can? Or will money printer go BRRRRRR? Given that the whole market is capitalised to the tune of many trillions of dollars (the current market cap of NASDAQ is over $17T alone), a few billion doesn't seem that much of a big deal in context.

Personally, I'd say just let what comes, come, and react to it at that time. It's just silly to demoralize oneself immediately following a victory.

Someone way up thread remarked that the scariest thing to those in power is people realizing the euphoria / ecstasy of fighting an enemy they despise. Or of feeling they have a cause worth fighting for.
