That is a valid point. I don't see that happening in the immediate future with the Dems though. Third parties in the US don't tend to go anywhere significant. Too many American voters are "ride or die" single party/single issue types who treat supporting political parties like supporting sports teams. The only reason the Patriot Party could become a thing is because of the former Retard-in-Chief attempting a failed coup and his supporters subsequently turning on Republican leaders for not violating the Constitution in support of said coup. There hasn't been any type of similar dramatic and violent break within the Democratic ranks.
