Eh, I definitely think he looks more feminine in the after-picture (the original version, not the one you swapped). But it's a very miniscule difference. Apparently it's enough of a difference for troons to latch on to as some kind of progress to keep their delusions going. It really boggles the mind why a beautiful girl would ruin her life like this. At least this one has only done the Ellen Page-transition so far and might still come to her senses before she's done any irreversible physical damage. But I think even if they don't take hormones or subject themselves to surgeries there's still damage being done. I think about how if you get totally brainwashed into having your morals, beliefs and self-identity totally twisted and subverted, can you even recover from that? What underlying problems exist to make them susceptible to this delusion? Maybe they were already deeply troubled before, and "transitioning" is just one out of an arbitrary number of ways their dysfunction expresses itself.

I actually feel really bad for this girl. She seems sweet enough, no serious psychopathology by the looks of it and what she wants just seems so discordant with the entire "being a man" thing; a thing which she doesn't even really seem to understand. It always astounds me how poor peoples' basic facility for critical thinking seems to be these days. Leaving aside the issue of how replicable or robust these studies are (or more likely, aren't), it never seems to even occur to TRAs and their allies that even if we accept this result on the face of it, and presume it holds for humanity in general: if the brains of males who identify as transwomen are comparable in structure and characteristics to those of "cis" women, surely this would indicate that these neurological structural characteristics are sex nonspecific?!? As in, clearly these are not characteristics of a "female brain", since natal males can also have brains with these characteristics. If anything it undermines their premise of somehow being a "woman trapped in a man's body", rather than bolstering it.

There really is no logical way to make the "TWAW" mantra work, in practice. Either TW share "female" brain characteristics - in which case they're not really "female" characteristics at all - or they don't, in which case they're just coomers. Either way, we're back to square one and they're just a bunch of delusional dudes in dresses.

I have a relative with early onset Alzheimer's, and for years the whole story revolved around tau protein buildup in the brains. It came out a few years ago that quite a few elderly people had full blown Alzheimer's pathology but were still sharp and had superior memory until they died in their 90s. There's currently a Colombian woman who could hold the key to a cure. It's way more than that protein they were talking about for years.

We have no fucking idea what causes gender dysphoria. At the very least, it's a mental illness that shouldn't be treated with hormones and surgeries except in very rarefied cases. We still don't know what cross-sex hormones do to people over a long period of time. It's a huge risk that people mostly gloss over. And if you're an adult you can snag estrogen and T after one visit in some cases or just find a bodybuilding forum that will give you a place to get gear.

I've had heart-to-heart chats with trans people before and I empathize to a point. That point is when I ask them, "How did you know you're the wrong gender?" and it always reeked of the most gender-stereotypical replies ("I don't like pink", "I never liked sports", "always hung out with the opposite gender") and I would say, "Okay there's plenty of women and men who don't like those things and to leap from that to thinking you're the opposite gender is pretty extreme." Then it would get into "well I felt/identified as the opposite gender." I would say "What does being a man feel like? I don't even know what being a man feels like, it just is for me." They lose me entirely after that.

There's almost always trauma, autism, or BPD at play.

"Troonbrains are like their desired sex brain" is their go-to "scientifically valid" argument. You'd think they'd retire it since it's proven that transbians score like regular men on sex-dimorphic areas of the brain and differently only on areas that are non-dimorphic. Basically if "brain sex" is how you justify the validity of troons, then you have to denounce and exile all opposite-sex attracted trannies as they are scientifically fake trannies. Some are aware of this and that's why they started to denounce the brain studies as "trans eugenics" fearing they could start using MRI to determine if you're trutrans.

As for the "real" trannies:

The Rametti team used an MRI technique called Diffusion Tensor Imaging to compare homosexual male-to-female transsexuals (n = 18 ) with nontranssexual, heterosexual control males (n = 19) and with nontranssexual, heterosexual control females (n = 19). They contrasted the male controls with the female controls to identify the sex-dimorphic portions of the brain and then contrasted the homosexual transsexuals with each of the control groups on the dimorphic brain regions so identified. The initial contrasts identified six sex-dimorphic brain regions. The homosexual transsexual sample was intermediate in volume on all six brain structures, significantly different from the male controls on five of the six (and significantly different from the female controls on all six). That is, these male-to-female transsexuals were different from the control males, shifted towards the female direction on all parameters.

I'm not a scientist, but they didn't even perform like women, just differently from other men. Idk why they word this as "they're shifting towards female parameters" when they were significantly different from real women on all six brain structures too. Seems a tad ideologically motivated. Other studies have already established homosexuals can show similarities with heterosexuals of the opposite sex so it's likely sexual orientation influencing the results, not muh identity.

The brain argument is also funny because they think "DRESS GO SPINNY" and other dumb superficial shit is dictated by the ladybrain, but they fail to acknowledge that your brain most importantly keeps you alive and your body functioning, including bringing you to sexual maturity. Wouldn't your ladybrain refuse to make you undergo masculinizing puberty instead of causing your balls to start producing high levels of testosterone? Wouldn't a FTM's manbrain refuse to trigger ovulation? Yet trannies have perfectly normal puberties and sexual functioning. Doesn't seem like their brain has any issue with them being male/female at all.
