Ok, well, *ideally* it would take about 6 years to make E-7 (Gunnery Sergeant) and they're usually selected from a pool of candidates, supposedly the most intelligent and recognized of the bunch who are proficient in leadership and drill knowledge, because well, they're in a much higher position of power and hold power over lower enlisted (especially under E-4)
But a Gunnery Sergeant First Class? I can't say I've ever heard of that unless it's an older term? I know in the Army they have Sergeant First Class (which is also E-7)
As for the 24 month tour, that sounds pretty standard for the marines, in the Army I know they have 1 year tours , but it can be up to 3 years for the Marines if they have dependents relocate with them.

Stalls on the east coast, in my experience, are that tall, and yeah, as @NerdShamer said the gap at the bottom is large enough to climb under, presumably if someone needs help.

His grammar is god awful so it's hard to comprehend what he's saying, but the VA can not prescribe marijuana until it is federally legal. So that threw me off. I don't know shit about Marine's but even crayon chewers need better reading/writing comprehension than this to get promoted. By "24 month deployments" he could have been referring to how long he stayed at a duty station. Also, even in Don't Ask Don't Tell times, he would have been laughed out of MEPS and destroyed if he actually expressed any of that while enlisted. Even with Obama teasing the idea of letting trans openly serve, EVERYONE active duty hated the idea, even liberal faggots. No one wants these monstrosities.

NOBODY was doing 24 month rotations except for a handful of MOS's.
His math doesn't add up. Those 10 years peacetime if he had PTSD it would have fucked him up and he wouldn't have gotten promoted.
PLUS, back in the day were promotion points, and that ladder was a pure fucking bitch to climb.
