Shitting on the GOP is the most noble of acts. Trump should leave a nation-long streak all along the political establishment's back. Too bad he didn't spend his entire time in office doing that, he could have made a positive, meaningful, lasting difference.

I'm still partially convinced that Trump did it out of spite because the GOP wouldn't completely back his unhinged "stolen election" shit. "You guys won't help me out? Fine, I'm going and I'll burn down the party on my way out".
 
They always pick the most redneck boomers to interview at these rallies. I'm sure they could easily find an average wage slave who says they wanted to be there just to show support for Trump and have a fun. But every time it's "We love Jesus and the scourge of Communist Joe Biden will destroy our country." Just admit you like Trump and want him to stay rather than weaving this into some prophetic tale about socialism.

The majority of people willing to drive a distance to support their candidate are usually more crazy. Whether that person is left-wing or right-wing, that is going to be the case

Trump stumped for them, begrudgingly. Although in all honesty, at the events that he was supposed to rallying people behind them despite the defeat, he kindof just kept talking about how he was done dirty.

And then, of course, with the people who believe that the Trump-fanatic population is actually 80% of the population because it's 80% of the roadsides they see, some real intelligent characters decided that the way to see your policies come to fruition was to make your defeat even worse and cripple the chance of that getting fixed in 2-4 years.
