Everytime I see someone on twitter passionately insisting they're X ethnicity, and going through the song and dance of showing everyone they "know" what it's really like being X ethnicity with specific obsucre ethnic terms, and over dramatized "trauma" I just grow more and more convinced they're either 1. very out of touch with their cultural heiritage and are overcompensating to seem more interesting or 2. actually a white kid LARPing.

I don’t think the prevalence of autism is greater these days, but I think we treat it very differently. Back in the day you were just “that weird kid”. You got bullied a bit and maybe got WAY into model airplanes or something but you were just considered weird or awkward. Now you get a diagnosis, and while that can help people get the social skills they need young it also labels them as “broken” in some way. Not to mention that in more severe cases parents would just put their kid in a home somewhere or a special school. They wouldn’t be expected to be mainstreamed at all
If you look back you can see examples of learning disabilities in the past being glossed over when you didn’t need a college degree and a resume by 16 to get a halfway decent job. Infamously Bill Cosby used to lightly make fun of his “dumb brother Russ”. Turned out Russ was diagnosed with dyslexia as an adult and once he learned how to deal with it, he wasn’t dumb at all.

I think where society took a bad turn is when it decided that neurodivergence is acceptable in society. Up to a point sure, get excited about Star Wars, be a bit jittery, get loud when talking about something that you love, but you have to learn how to sit down and respect other people’s voices and time. And you have to learn that not everyone likes Picard more than Kirk and that’s ok. And you have to get a job and do your best in social situations. Hell, find a job where social interaction doesn’t matter too much.

It’s sad, because I work with so many brilliant people that are so obviously on that spectrum, and I can see how much better their younger counterparts are at social situations because they received help and guidance, but Lordy, some folks just fall through the cracks and society has decided to indulge in that fall rather than help them back up and it’s just a sad waste.

I believe 'Autism' is probably just a label, a medical shorthand that could be phased out soon when doctors have found better explanations - just like how phrenology was a legit science back then. The word neurodiversity has a root in political activism rather than real science, because for some reason, it's easier to convince people to jump on their cause if they're made to believe that people with this condition are fundamentally 'broken' and should be accepted/pitied. Which is no different than troon activism today to be fair, the narrative around the idea that these people are born in the wrong body is clearly not true - but it is useful for their cause for people to believe it that way. The explosion of autism, trannyism or mental illness identities is more of a symptom of our current society than anyone in particular.

I'm not denying that traits that are associated with autism do exist. and people who were just weird back in the days may be considered autists today. But how do we draw the line between 'very mild autistic' or 'a little eccentric normie'? You simply can't see people as just.. what they are anymore, with their own personality, without the need for labels. In fact the diagnosis can stretch so far and thin that autism can cover most people who works in STEM fields that it'll become meaningless soon. Or how would you discern the case of misdiagnosis? The fact that the label has become kind of a fad for parents to be lazy and blame their bad parenting on or to get attention, No different from trans kids that are peddled out in media today. Where the labels turn to be worse for kids and prevent them from getting help they really need.

Wouldn't it be better if individual issues are treated with personal nuances instead of reductive labels, you can get kids to learn social skills in other way without the need of diagnosis - but labels are too profitable and convenient for them to be dropped, and troonism is an facet of this proliferation of identity and category obsession of today.

Well, like I said, I don't really know as much about TiFs so I only did this for TiMs, but let's brainstorm here. What are the categories of TiFs that you see?

Let's start with the overlap.
✔︎Sociopaths: This is inevitable, the exact same conditions that lead to TiM Incel:Sociopaths are at work for women too, but even more so. Fortunately no one takes female troons seriously.
✔︎Transmaxxers: Similar to male Incel:Transmaxxers, these are women who resent life as women. Unlike male transmaxxers they are likely to identify as nonbinary.
✘Reinventors: I'm sure that there are female Incel:Reinventors, but I'm not aware of them. The new mothers who troon out after giving birth maybe? I'd say that those fit better into a distinct category that I'll describe later.
✔︎Straight Chasers: Unlike the gay men who troon out to try to get straight men, these are straight women who troon out to try to get gay men. We usually just call them Fujoshis, I feel like they fit the BPD label better than HSTS:Straight Chasers.
✘Flagellants: I don't think that this is really common for women. At best we have the ROGD crew, but I'd say that this is distinct from HSTS:Flagellants.
✔︎Super Gays: Yes, there is definitely a female equivalent. Butch women. And just like with HSTS:Super Gays, they are a relatively small group that most people picture.
✔︎Standard Degenerates: These exist, but I think that the female equivalent is less interested in making normal people play along with their depravity and more interested in just getting fucked by a ton of guys and not feel shamed for being a female slut. I'd say that while the name still applies it's fundamentally different for TiFs than TiMs. There are also the body modification fetishists.
✘Sissies: No. Obviously there is not a female equivalent. At best we have women who fantasize about being a stud who just fucks and fucks, but I'd say that that's more of an especially horny butch.
✘Displacement Classic: It might exist for women, but I think that all three of the AGP classes for women are so similar that the distinctions aren't that useful.

Now, if anyone disagrees with me here I welcome your input. I've got some more reasoning for these, but I think my reasoning is sound. Here are some preliminary female categories that might be useful.

• ROGD
  • Transtrenders: Basically just do it because their friends are doing it who do it because their friend are doing it.
  • Early Bloomers: Distressed with their changing bodies, especially if they start developing breasts and getting inappropriate male attention. They don't need to actual go through early puberty, but it's just a catchy name.
  • Body Modders: There might be a sexual component to this (I don't know much about the body mod community in general), but these women are perpetually unhappy with their bodies and like the feeling of control that they feel when they completely transform their bodies. Often into some other body modding stuff.
• Femcels
  • Sociopaths: Exactly like the male Incel:Sociopaths
  • Manlets: resent female gender roles and think that life for men is easier. These are basically female Incel:Transmaxxers, but simultaneously more misogynist and misandrist.
  • Not Daddy's Girl: They just want to get back at their parents, not always their father.
• TBD
  • Butches: The female equivalent of HSTS:Super Gay
  • Standard Degenerates: They want to get fucked like a slutty twink. They would probably have an easier time getting straight men to fuck them, but they have hangups about doing that as a woman and straight men are probably less interested in getting together with a bunch of men for a ganbang.
  • Fujoshi: They want to fuck gay men. They probably read too much yaoi and romanticized the softbois in there. Some of them really like the old-school party gays. These are probably the closest thing to AGPisplacement Classic but the social pressures that cause this are different.

I'd say that while the name still applies it's fundamentally different for TiFs than TiMs. There are also the body modification fetishists.
✘Sissies: No. Obviously there is not a female equivalent. At best we have women who fantasize about being a stud who just fucks and fucks, but I'd say that that's more of an especially horny butch.
✘Displacement Classic: It might exist for women, but I think that all three of the AGP classes for women are so similar that the distinctions aren't that useful.

Now, if anyone disagrees with me here I welcome your input. I've got some more reasoning for these, but I think my reasoning is sound. Here are some preliminary female categories that might be useful.

  • Transtrenders: Basically just do it because their friends are doing it who do it because their friend are doing it.
  • Early Bloomers: Distressed with their changing bodies, especially if they start developing breasts and getting inappropriate male attention. They don't need to actual go through early puberty, but it's just a catchy name.
  • Body Modders: There might be a sexual component to this (I don't know much about the body mod community in general), but these women are perpetually unhappy with their bodies and like the feeling of control that they feel when they completely transform their bodies. Often into some other body modding stuff.
• Femcels
  • Sociopaths: Exactly like the male Incel:Sociopaths
  • Manlets: resent female gender roles and think that life for men is easier. These are basically female Incel:Transmaxxers, but simultaneously more misogynist and misandrist.
  • Not Daddy's Girl: They just want to get back at their parents, not always their father.
• TBD
  • Butches: The female equivalent of HSTS:Super Gay
  • Standard Degenerates: They want to get fucked like a slutty twink. They would probably have an easier time getting straight men to fuck them, but they have hangups about doing that as a woman and straight men are probably less interested in getting together with a bunch of men for a ganbang.
  • Fujoshi: They want to fuck gay men. They probably read too much yaoi and romanticized the softbois in there. Some of them really like the old-school party gays. These are probably the closest thing to AGPisplacement Classic but the social pressures that cause this are different.

I believe 'Autism' is probably just a label, a medical shorthand that could be phased out soon when doctors have found better explanations - just like how phrenology was a legit science back then. The word neurodiversity has a root in political activism rather than real science, because for some reason, it's easier to convince people to jump on their cause if they're made to believe that people with this condition are fundamentally 'broken' and should be accepted/pitied. Which is no different than troon activism today to be fair, the narrative around the idea that these people are born in the wrong body is clearly not true - but it is useful for their cause for people to believe it that way. The explosion of autism, trannyism or mental illness identities is more of a symptom of our current society than anyone in particular.

I'm not denying that traits that are associated with autism do exist. and people who were just weird back in the days may be considered autists today. But how do we draw the line between 'very mild autistic' or 'a little eccentric normie'? You simply can't see people as just.. what they are anymore, with their own personality, without the need for labels. In fact the diagnosis can stretch so far and thin that autism can cover most people who works in STEM fields that it'll become meaningless soon. Or how would you discern the case of misdiagnosis? The fact that the label has become kind of a fad for parents to be lazy and blame their bad parenting on or to get attention, No different from trans kids that are peddled out in media today. Where the labels turn to be worse for kids and prevent them from getting help they really need.

Wouldn't it be better if individual issues are treated with personal nuances instead of reductive labels, you can get kids to learn social skills in other way without the need of diagnosis - but labels are very profitable and convenient for them to be dropped, and troonism is an facet of this proliferation of identity and category obsession of today.

I fully disagree with you on "we don't need labels just help". We don't have lebels for just profit and feeling legitimate but have tratment standards and to keep record what's working and what's not. We have diagnostic standards in other medical conditions and we haven't trough them aside just because we later found out having miss understood something. What you are suggesting is that we just go and treat symptoms but we can same or very similar symptoms to different conditions that need different help. This doesn't change just because autism isn't well defined right now, is kinda trendy and might even be wrong way to group. We need medical labels to communicate about madical issues effectively and if current labels turn out not to be goog we can change them, just like before.

I agree that autism is a bit of a placeholder, much like the word “cancer” is. It likely describes a myriad of mental illnesses that are very similar yet completely different with little way to discern them for the time.

I think diagnosis tend to happen when a person’s issues start affecting their life negatively. With kids it could be schooling, attention issues or learning disabilities and since college is so important to obtaining a middle class life now, most parents are gonna do what they can to help their kids succeed there.

I do know plenty of people who were diagnosed very young, went through some therapies and were in mainstream schools by kindergarten as just a bit of a weird kid. But then the argument could be made that they might have grown out of their tendencies anyway (a good example is the flapping of arms, all toddlers do this and almost all outgrow it naturally by age 5-6)

I don’t think proper autism diagnosis come from neglectful parents, because parents who neglect their kids aren’t gonna notice that little Timmy can’t emote properly. Autism prevalence does go up in older parents though, It would be great to treat issues with personal nuance, and that likely happens in one on one therapies, but the reality is that:
1: in the US at least a diagnosis and label is necessary to get help from public schools and to be eligible for certain early therapies and schools that are helped out by the govt.
2: Humans love to label shit. It’s literally how our brain works and stopping that is really really hard. We don’t label to know what we are, we label to know what we aren’t, Its unlikely to stop, but you as an individual get to decide how much importance you attach to those labels.
