Do these troons not understand the concept of roleplaying? Maybe someone just doesn't want to create a character based on themselves in real life because they find that boring? And playing as a woman in a video game can definitely fill that role. It honestly reminds me of the woke moral panic about representation. They have a pathological need to see exactly themselves in all media, lack the ability to put themselves in someone else's shoes. Starting from this logical framework, they asseme that anyone representing themselves as something different in a game must actually BE that thing. (Unless it's another race, in which case they'll crucify you on Twitter over it, but hey, logic never was their strong suit)

I forget the exact name of it, but there's an actual term in the psych field for being able to understand the point of view of another person and imagine yourself as them.

Lack of it is usually seen as a sign of stunted mental development or even more severe mental disorders, primarily autism.
