But here's the kicker: we tried to locate the venue in question during the year Ron said this occurred, but there was no way it could have happened after looking at both Monica's & Vic's schedules for that year.

Ron did not actually threaten to throw down Vic, Ron only bragged on twitter that he was about to do so, big difference.
Of course, we all can safely assume that it was Ron being, yet again, all barks and no bite. It's easy for him to pretend on twitter that he was about to loose it, but I don't believe for a second that, if he was to face a potential physical confrontation, Ron would ever do anything but run away as fast as possible. I don't think Ron would ever "loose it" anywhere but in his imagination.

I've compared Ron to a Disney villain once or twice, but I just realized that a Disney villain, Shan Yu (1998), never saw Mulan as a woman for him to intimidate and beat up on. He saw a soldier who defeated/outwitted him at the pass and wanted revenge for it, and so they fought on equal footing at hand-to-hand (well, sword-to-fan) combat.

Shan Yu is more of a man and egalitarian than Ron will ever be.
