Threads like these really do affirm the extent to which post-2010s troonism is a creature of the internet. It's only on the internet - and really only within the confines of troon-intersecting subcultures - that any of this is capable of making sense.

How is anyone whose sense of self is grounded in non-online relationships meant to even make sense of any of these questions? They all assume gender is some internal aesthetic sense, there is no hint that gender is constituted socially; no sense that it exists as much in eyes of others as it does in your own mind. This is the perspective of the online loner deep in the tar pits of a deranged subculture. It is only on the internet where sex doesn't matter - there's something to the old saying that "There are no girls on the internet" - and 'gender' insofar as it exists is just a front, a profile picture, some pronouns, It's all just internal fantasy play. It goes without saying that this guy doesn't have a job or children.

Why? The two biggest giveaways for ftms can't be communicated through photos, height and voice. I guarantee you the 'well-passing' FTM from pages back is 5' 5 or likely below.

And about the voice, let me tell you, if you haven't heard it then look it up. The ftm voice is distinct, clearly lower than a woman's should be but simultaneously obviously north of even the most effeminate queen's (or Lauren Bacall even). It sounds like a voice that started to try to masculinize but crashed the car in the nasal cavity. Bizarre but what isn't in this thread?

I think FtM have an easier time passing for three reasons.

1: Men’s clothing tends to cover more than women’s. I mentioned above that I occasionally “man up” to go out dancing and, while I don’t think I pass face to face, I do think that I could probably put on a shitty fedora and keep my head down and pass walking in the street so long as no one paid close attention. I’d just be a below average height guy in a full suit.

2: Cis men aren’t afraid of trans men invading their spaces. Near as I can tell no one gives a shit if a mannish girl goes into the men’s room. She might get a look but she’s not getting tossed out. She’s likely smaller and weaker than most guys in there so, meh.
Granted, they seem to be annoying the shit outta gay men, but in reality, straight people are the biggest demographic here and gay men haven’t made this a big enough deal for straight allies to get involved

3: Underneath it all they are still women, or at the very least, people raised as women. They aren’t going to be as confrontational about shit, and they probably have a higher tolerance for crap than most cis-men

so in general this all merges together to allow the quieter FtM folks to just pass on through life, cause if they don’t make waves, no one is going to really fight it.

Normies don’t realize there are FTMs doing this. Normies think trans = extra gay, because historically this was true. It’s why they aren’t bothered by MTFs because they think they’re all extremely gay men who’ve gotten bottom surgery.

No idea? I feel like the whole LGBT rights thing ran smoothly because there were legit goals that made sense to straight people.
Like, yeah you should be able to have clubs and not get them tossed by cops and sure, go marry people you love and you shouldn’t get fired for having that wedding photo on your desk at work.
now it’s just trannies screaming about pronouns, toilets and misgendering. Something no one understands or can relate to.

So yeah, gay men might be able to rally the troops if they really wanted to, but maybe it’s just not really worth it?

Good example of the problem with shit like "neurodiversity." Literally just mad that a bunch of moms are commiserating with each other after their low(er) functioning kid had a hysterical tantrum over something strange at Christmas dinner. Refuses to empathize with them and instead has to reframe the substantive social & emotional deficits of these kids as being due to some sort of cultural difference. As if it even remotely makes sense to say that there is such a thing as "autistic culture" among 11 year olds(arguable that there is really such a thing in general) with moderate/severe autism.

Of course, he never asked himself whether it did, because like all "neurodiversity" types, he's allergic to the idea that autism could be conceived as just a categorical impairment in the majority of cases. Never seriously thinks about those with more severe forms of autism or their parents.

Can confirm. I met a tiny FTM in the wild one time - must have been just a hair over 5 feet, if that, but had a full, bushy beard. At first I thought, alright, this is just an abnormally short dude, but the second she opened her mouth, I knew. This was also well before I had any real exposure to trans stuff so I had no idea about things like the typical FTM voice. It was just instantly obvious. The height and the voice totally superseded the facial hair.

I used to know a guy who was way shorter than me. Did was maybe 5’2”? No one had dwarfism, but his whole family was itty bitty. But damn if the men didn’t have deep voices. No higher register or anything, just obvious Dude voices, much lower than mine.

sometimes a dude is short, but you’re right, the voice (and the shoe size men’s feet are fucking huge) are dead giveaways.
