I'm on the same page with Jimbo when he said he's "flabbergasted". It is odd that an essay that states a very basic fact got that kind of praise. But yet again, JKR did state said fact knowing that there would be an army of unhinged lunatics who'd probably threaten and slander her for stating that basic fact.

I feel like they honestly believe the mere fact that TERFs don't believe in transgenderism -- which is, to them, as self-evident as the blue sky -- is "dirt" enough, and justify alluding to something else that normal people would find repulsive through this mental bait-and-switch. Like when people convince themselves they were present at a historical event they really weren't.
