On a general note: trying to lead a movement with a significant portion of Trump's ideals is quite the quandary.

Trump got where he did because of his star power, but his person helped allow his ideas to be painted as contemptible. On the other hand, he was somewhat successful in using that notoriety to spread awareness of him and his policies, and he had the character to routinely weather controversy.

On one hand, you'd probably fare well advancing his populist agenda in the future by distancing from him and his baggage (for better or worse)-- you'd retain and fine-tune his ideas and approaches but make yourself separate from him in the public eye. On the other hand, you're more likely to fall into obscurity before you have the chance to get smeared unless you can cultivate notoriety that rivals him. But then, you have to cultivate said notoriety by putting yourself on the shitlist of TPTB-- maybe you trick them into putting you on there by doing something that only looks contemptible at half of a first blush?

On January 6th, there will be a joint-session of congress in which the results will be certified by the President of the Senate/Vice President (Mike Pence), and if there is an objection to the results in question, The Constitution requires that at least two members of the House and 1 member of the US Senate to speak up.

And from there, it turns into a circus.
