One of those twerpy little autists who found a niche in dunking on retards who hold undefended positions like astrology being predictive or the earth being 6000 years old. Consequently, he developed the unfortunate condition known as Internet Skeptic Syndrome wherein you (a) become incapable of conceiving that you might be both wrong and retarded and (b) develop the delusion that cherry-picked "scientific" papers constitute unimpeachable evidence.

Our origin of gender and reasoning of transitions were initially developed as a form of covert eugenics/"play along and sterilise the mentally ill so they'll shut up" (Chris Jorgensen's case was pretty much one, Not sure if Wegener/Lili Elbe case came from a similar reasoning.) with also a hint of pedophilic nature in John Money studuea. Yet we're now selling it to people as the cure for bodily discomfort.

For anyone, assuming you know, access to civilization, fitness and hygiene are controllable. Basic ugliness is not. Many of these men are fat and many have terrible hygiene. Troonism, at its core, has two basic premises, both of which are extreme but not entirely insane.
1) Gender is an artificial concept that only exists due to social enforcement (radical conclusion: gender is meaningless)
2) Gender is an innate and immutable part of a person's sense of self (radical conclusion: gender is one of the most important parts of your identity)

Both of these can be true to a degree and you don't need to reach the radical conclusion. Personally I believe that some aspects of what we consider gender are artificial concepts that only exist due to social enforcement, stuff like color preferences and clothing; I believe that some aspects of what we consider gender are hard-wired at birth, stuff like modes of sexual attraction or kinesthetics. The first premise is generally a progressive idea while the second is conservative and I'd say that the vast, vast majority of people are somewhere in the middle. I'm personally a little more invested in the first and I think that it's the more defensible one, it's definitely the more popular position in the progressive circles where I hang out and it's the one that appeals the most to handmaidens.

The issue is that trannies, depending on what they want at the moment, go 100% in either one. The first argument is the motte and the second is the bailey. #1 is used to defend actual trans rights and #2 is used to force everyone to play along. For example, radical feminists tend to lean heavily for #1 and don't have any problems with men defying socially constructed gender norms like clothing or hobbies. But they also think that men in general are socialized to be oppressive (some of them also hold some #2 beliefs about men naturally being aggressive, but that's not relevant here) and should not be in women's spaces that are intended specifically for women to be free from oppressive gender dynamics and that men would fuck that up and they don't even need these spaces*.
Even if you're a TWAW evangelist, it's undeniable that TiMs are socialized as males and don't face the same issues as women, at least it's undeniable if you're remotely sane, so a #1 argument just won't work here. But suddenly #2! Keeping TiMs out of women's spaces invalidates their core gender identity and that's not just some social construct, it's a core part of their personality and by denying it you're denying their right to exist. And then when handmaidens peek in on the TiM radfem fight they get told that these radfems are the ones who think that gender has a meaning and since they refuse the radical conclusion of #1 then clearly they are adherents of #2. To someone who hasn't (or won't) spent much time actually thinking about this stuff that seems like a reasonable enough argument.

I broadly agree with most this, your framing is similar to what I wrote here in many more words.

I think everyone agrees that much of what we call gender expression consists in superficial things that are effectively purely cultural; stockings & dresses are for girls, pink-blue etc. However, there are statistical differences in deeper parts of our psychology, some of which do directly give rise to gendered behavior, think penchant for play-fighting, the people-things dichotomy. Other differences in elements of our psyche like our processing of emotions, motivations and sexual attractions give rise to significant differences but the specific form these differences take are contingent on society itself. That is to say, there are things that will be gendered in our society not so much because they are 'innately' gendered but because of their role or significance in our society. The tendency for men to dominate almost every pursuit that is considered to be high status is a good example of this phenomenon.

Of course, nothing in the world acts alone and culture interacts in a dialectal fashion with differences in innate instinct, instincts shape culture and limit the possible forms it can take while culture channels instincts both to narrow instinctual differences or widen them depending on the case.


I don't think that #2 is conservative though, "gender identity" as a concrete thing is really just a troon notion. The conservative view is to deny both premises. Gender is not "artificial" but an inevitable emergent phenomenon due to sex-differences, a conservative would further make the judgement that this is also a good thing. Hence, that attempts to attenuate it are damaging to both society and generally to those seeking to defy its strictures as well.

As I see it - and as you've identified - #2 is just a reverse-engineered notion to achieve particular goals and in particular the goals of the modal troon; the AGP-esque male. The really key part of this fixation on 'identity' is that it is essentially a carte blanche. It abjures them of providing any form of testable justification (asking questions is transphobic, you see) while simultaneously elevating the acceptance of their claims to the level of an imperative.

If human has advanced to the point that we can change sex at will, gender won't matter anymore. Anyone can be whatever they want and there will be no such thing as "transgender" too.
