Yeah, I actually feel real sympathy for Jules. I used to occasionally watch his content years ago, way before the transition, when he was just a femmey gay guy doing makeup tutorials -- he seemed very sweet and personable, had a beautiful face, and produced quality videos for the time. I hadn't seen his content in like a decade and totally forgot about him, then one day I spotted a familiar face in my YT recommendations...and saw that Jules was now trans. Sadly, I think cultural expectations and homophobia probably informed his desire to transition, and he struck me as someone who could be easily led by TRA propaganda into seeing himself as having been "born in the wrong body." Several of his videos make it very clear that he regrets getting SRS and that it's been mostly painful and inconvenient. I hope Jules is happy despite that though, because nobody deserves to be duped into losing so much.

I believe like there's no "genuine" trans, in the sense that there's "male soul" or "female soul" inside someone and that the body became mismatched from it, and this is apparent if you live in a country where the concept of gender transition is framed completely in a different way and start to compare it with western/developed nations definitions and see the holes in idea. We may get trannies that seem sane and not use trans identity as a copout. We may get people who find it easier for them to live as opposite gender but the concept of being trans can only exist within a culture. Being trans is a philosophical and bureaucratic identity that you can not even subscribe to it even if you look like one. In theory, you can get all HRT and surgery and dress in the way that is seen of different gender and say you're still your sex because you don't identify as opposite gender.

If you define being trans on the basis of gender dysphoria. In my personal opinion, it is no different from other body issues like anorexia or wanting to cut your limbs off. But trans became an identity because gender is steeped deeper in human psych. It is a shorthand for sex, and so is an important part of human society because it signals for reproduction possibility in the way that other body issues doesn't. It is easy to confuses these signals when a large part of it is how you dress and behave - a few pages back I mentioned that crosdressing women in the past, passed as men in the way that they won't as easily in modern times because people didn't know how to discern one based on cultural gender cues.

But as more people transitioned, the concept is going to breakdown soon as it becomes easier to clock trannies due to exposure or people en masse realise there are more than superficial characteristic that make someone male or female. Not to mention the people who would go in for it for the sake of body modifications (some pages back talks about men who wants dick chopped off but still identify as men) but without the "identity" or detransitioners. Some superficial changes from hormones may not fool people anymore. So as the concept of gender change, the concept of being trans would also change

Reminds me of how my kid made my nose bleed when he was only 2-3. He did a "head butt" to my face by accident. It's like his skull was already 2x as thick as mine when he was a toddler.
