1. I laugh at how everyone makes the MEXICAN Hermes straight up black. I know she has dreads but...that's not a black exclusive thing. And if you've ever been around any Hispanic people, you'd know they come in all colors of the rainbow, from dark chocolate to straight up white.
2. I hate how all these artists make Jolyne so buff. I get they wanna make her a TOUGH GAL WHO DON'T NEED NO MAN (though she needed QUITE a few times in the story), but her character was KNOWN for not being strong like a guy but made up for that by using her strings in clever and smart ways ( such as turning her torso into a mobius strip to avoid damage or using it to turn binary code into an image). I feel like all this unironic buff Jolyne art discounts that.

For the buff Jolyne I think that @/a_lil_ari_ on Instagram popularised this type of drawing Jolyne.
(JoJo stock comics with intensive pink background and characteristic Procreate brush)
I really like her comics/art, but I don't support because of her views about miracide and obsession about dudebros. Yeah I know they are annoying sometimes, but damn just try to talk with them and explain your opinion/Headcanons

I remember when Lenora got a lot of backlash for her design because her apron made her look like a mammy stereotype. It got to the point where her official art was altered to remove her apron. They even altered her design in the anime when it aired outside of Japan. I wouldn’t be surprised if her absence in BW2 (Cheren replaces her as the normal type gym leader in that game) was due to the controversy. This was all before the internet started getting truly woke, imagine if her design was released today?

Black women can't wear practical aprons or they look like mammies! No black archeologists allowed! In fact, nothing even vaguely reminiscent of anything related to any kind of work with your hands allowed!
