While they're currently trying to clean it up, much of Downtown Vegas and the surrounding area is currently a shit hole. you have the west side, which is MLK boulevard and goes from moderate to bad VERY quickly. On the east you have the north end of Las Vegas blvd which is literally skid row with large homeless encampments on the sidewalks. North of downtown is an area that is strait up hood, and south is the Arts district, which is getting there but still a work in progress.

Source: Before I moved to Greer country, I lived in Vegas

There are a few cool promising buildings in the area but way out of Rusty Trombone's price range

Downtown/Fremont Street is where the hookers prowl though, so Russ probably thinks its Shangri-La

Isn't he under probation? Like how is he so dumb to think he can....... Nevermind it's Russel of course he's that dumb.
He probably hasn't even considered how his probation will affect his plans. I hope he does have a probation officer who lets him know bluntly he can't move until his probation is up.

TBH I doubt the HDMI story was true, it was probably something he added that he though would make people sympathize with him as the main character of a movie just like most of whats in his book, but that still make him look into the stupid idiot he is.
The takeaway lesson is if you're ever going to be in court and intend to use AV shit, make sure you know what the specs of the location are and that it is even possible for you to do it. If you explain that you have to appear there and you're going to be doing a PowerPoint or whatever, you can usually just actually go in and check out the courtroom and equipment.

Downtown? Ugh!

Does he think he's going to bring hookers home with him to save on motel room costs?

I can't wait until he brings a working girl back to his apartment and she robs him blind (not that she'll get much).

Him getting rolled in Vegas pretty much immediately is why I desperately want the move to happen. Even better if he violates his PO to do it and then tries to file a criminal complaint with his parole officer against Vegas PD when they inevitably don't make his robbery their #1 priority.

I think it would be even funny if she ran a long con on him and let him think they were a couple, then she takes him for all he's worth (like you said, that wouldn't be much).

EDIT: Then he tries to sue her, and he finds out she used an alias and he can't find her, so who would he try to sue then?

Ostatnio edytowane:
I still can’t get over buying a six inch cable for court.
In the book he claims that he wasn't allowed to show his evidence in court because he didn't have a long enough cord, but really he wasn't allowed to present evidence because jurisdiction was never established. He got to argue his case, but that's it. Whether or not that whole cord buying debacle actually happened the way Russell describes, it's an example of Russ not understanding how people will react to his explanations. Because if we break this down, he waited until a few hours before the trial to print his evidence and bought the shortest cable available. If that's not what happened, he's a liar and if that is what happened, he's a moron. Anyone who reads this will think he has zero common sense, not that it's somehow unfair. This is the way a lot of his stories go. The version of events he tells us is the one he thinks redeems him and makes him seem like some sort of oppressed underdog who everyone is so mean to. And yet most of his stories come down to "I didn't realize the fucking obvious (and still don't) or didn't plan properly and it's everyone else's fault for not accommodating my fuckups," "I did something bad but it's ok because I'm a really good guy if you ignore that," or "I tried to force my way into a woman's life, then tried to punish her for not submitting to my fantasies and failed, life is so unfair for me."
I think it would be even funny if she ran a long con on him and let him think they were a couple, then she takes him for all he's worth (like you said, that wouldn't be much).
No way that would happen, he's too broke to be worth the effort and would demand sex every single time he did anything for her. We know how stingy and demanding he can be.

What does he think he's going to do in Vegas? From what I've heard the place is an absolute ghost town these days. It always gets hit hard during recessions but now we have a recession combined with nobody wanting to travel and companies cancelling conventions, possibly for good in many cases. It is in for some rough days ahead most likely. I've said it before and I'll say it again: moving is not a smart idea for him, especially not to a town like Vegas. But this is Russell, who seems determined to always make the wrong choice.

He thinks he'll have easy access to hookers, and I'd wager he thinks the conditions of his probation would be unenforceable in another state. In reality, he'll probably get told he can't move on pain of violating his probation. Then he does it anyway and gets arrested and thrown in jail for six months.

Meh, he'll just serve Taylor Swift's lawyer. Close enough.

This is absolutely what he believes. The State of Utah is hassling him for no good reason, so he'll just move to another state. Kind of like how he got a fresh start in Utah after the police in Wyoming totally overreacted to his senior prank.

As a bonus, Nevada won't try to stop him from emailing Erika. It's a win-win.

I was thinking some more about Rusty moving to DTLV, and if you'll forgive some sperg, let me share a little story

Last time I lived there (a few years ago), I decided to go to Fremont Street, just for shits. It was a nice day. No1curr actually. Since the last time I had lived there (15 years prior) Fremont Street had taken a dive. It wasn't a revamped family friendly-ish attraction, it's tatty, dirty, and it feels grimy. I was headed back to my car before it got dark and was waiting for the elevator when a guy walked up to catch the same elevator. Not for nothing, being a laydee on my own, I was like hmm.. danger. But he was chill, kept his distance. We had some small talk and he mentioned he had to go home for some reason or another before coming back as he "provided security" for some of the girls on Fremont. Ah. Neat. This gentleman is a pimp. Time to bounce.

I think about Russ trying to woo the ladies of Fremont only to be met with this very large "security guard" when he wants more than he's paying for. A 7-11 Mylar balloon and a cheap rose aint gonna cut it.

Please move to Vegas Russ, I need the next chapter in your shitty fanfic of a life to happen. And something like this will most likely happen because even though Hoff is in hell, his holdings still own most of the brothels around the Vegas valley, and hopefully Russ is still banned. He has to trawl for craigslist girls

(edit for missing words)

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that he thinks restraining orders aren't valid in another state. So if he moves to Nevada, he can email Erika to his heart's content.

This lolcow should be in an institution doped up on meds. He is an shit tornado that only spreads crap and misery where ever he goes. For some reasons I really dislike this person. For everyday that passes I think there is a less chance of him waking up and realizing wtf he is doing. pissing in the wind is is an understatement of what he is doing. what do he think he will achieve with all this self pity nonsense he is throwing around? Seams like this days everything is fair game just to get some notoriety! Just waiting for the day he will be sued himself for all the shenanigans that he been spuming out! From an concerned internet user

Ninja'd me here. I 100% think he believes if he moves to a new state, then everything bad he's done will be forgotten. He probably thinks all of the horrible things he has said on Facebook, his criminal record, and his history of frivolous lawsuits won't follow him out of SLC. Russ very much comes across to me as an "out of sight, out of mind" kind of guy, as in, when something or someone is not a part of his life, it may as well not exist anymore. Like how he bans his longtime friends and never thinks about them again, or how whenever someone brings up something he did or one of his lolsuits he talks about how it was years ago. He's moved past it, so as far as he cares, everyone else has to as well. Or how he can ignore his disability, so women aren't allowed to turn him down because that's discrimination.
