The one that got me was his comment about the right having a "stranglehold on the judicial branch."

You know, if I was the type of guy who was into studying propaganda and mass manipulation, I'm totally not though, but if I was I'd say this was an extremely sinister attempt to get young children accepting of the idea of curated voting and the subversion of a persons vote if it's deemed problematic.

Any normal person would see a maniac. Yet, if you remember Sideshow Bob would have been an effective mayor bring prosperity to Springfield, due to his Republican Capitalist ways. Which is ironic as Democratic Mayor Quimby has had lots of scandalous accusations that really should have got him voted out. Sideshow Bob did his own Watergate, got caught and arrested.

I much preferred when Cartoon Network used fictional characters for their mock elections. Nickelodeon pretends this is somehow serious and official, which makes it come off like the kids from 1984. It should be something creative and fun, not this doubleplusgood tripe, but of course we’re decades past the golden era of cable channels. Probably barely have money for bumpers.

Sideshow Bob got caught ironically for doing what the Democrats "allegedly" do, which was had dead people and dead pets voting for him. Lisa and Bart were particularly pissed that Snowball voted for Bob.

I think it was even mentioned that Bob would have won a fair election, but they needed a reason to not have him be the mayor stick.
