Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I think a proportional representation system applied to state electoral votes would be worthwhile.

For instance, in CA in 2016, Trump got 31.62% of the vote. In our system, that means Hillary gets 55 electoral votes. In a reformed PR system, she would get 34, Trump would get 17, and the last would be split among libertarians and greens.

I wonder how the election would have played out entirely in this system. But it would certainly make your vote more worthwhile and allow legitimate campaigning in every state, regardless of whether it's republicans or democrats. I feel like this is a type of moderate reform that would work well, especially with large states that are considered "safe" for republicans or dems, but it doesn't turn our entire system into some radical system where parties can come together to exclude rising wings that move parties forward—which is necessary, I think, especially given it's tempered by the FPTP system which preserves conservative (in the literal sense) gridlock. Our country isn't built to move radically in a short time period. It's built to be slow and only let the most popular novel movements take shape electorally.

Warren shilling for Biden in NH today.

An outstanding 20 people turnout on someone's driveway. Remarkable.
Why is she rallying in a state that will likely go to Biden, this isn't the primaries where NH is a crucial state

They'd never let that system come to pass because then it would give Third Parties a platform and both the Dems/Republicans do not want that to happen.

Why is she rallying in a state that will likely go to Biden,
I don’t know that it will.

I drove through 5 cities in NH last weekend, and every single one had at least 1 MASSIVE Trump sign (like billboard size) and I have only seen a couple Biden signs, and they’re all in the south.

Depending on the way the vote breaks down in Maine/Nebraska, a NH win for Trump would mean he only needs one of Minnesota or Wisconsin to win. For as much as the MSM says Trump has a narrow path to victory, the truth is that Biden needs a straight flush to win. He needs to deny Trump every Rust Belt battleground state (of which I don't count Ohio and Iowa). What are the odds of that happening, really?

The only problem is the population and all the Dem-voting Massachusetts transplants are in the south. If Trump can win NH, he's already won the election elsewhere because if he's drawing well enough to flip it, he'll win the other states he needs. Without NH, Gore would have been president, so I still think it can go GOP. It's usually close and it's traditionally red going back decades. But no guarantees, obviously. It's been blue the last few times.

Trump enthusiasm in county dwarfs all things Biden. My county went for Clinton in 2016 (somehow, i do not understand how), it'll be interesting if that holds this time through.

A number of colleges in NH are also closed/have reduced in-person class. Not as many as New York or Michigan, since NH isn't totally pozzed, but even a couple thousand students not being around to get out the blue vote can have massive effects on the state's vote totals. Hillary only won by about 2500 votes. But I think Michigan will be more impacted in this regard than New Hampshire, because Governor Hitmer is so gung-ho on destroying her state to own le Drumpf.

Imagine hating Trump so bad, that you decide to destroy your own state to own him.

It's unrealistic, but it's real.

At least here where I live, Cuomo is in a deep blue state and what every stupid shit he does. The city moroans will vote for him no matter what.

But Michigan is a purple state. So Hitmer is just retarded honestly.

I used to love Transmet in HS, but really only for Darick Robertson's illustrations. Biden is much different from the Smiler, if I recall.
Late, but its uncanny how the two candidates line up with 2016. A shameless, blunt man who sees nothing wrong with admitting he's doing a good job if 51% of the country approves and the other 49% can go to hell, and a power-hungry madman who will do anything and kill anyone to get ahead. It just didn't line up the way the author thought it did. Time for a re-write to reflect actual reality, with the other party being consigned to the museums.

Biden and Harris campaigning TOGETHER in Arizona! Look at that energy! Its definetively going blue this...

This is a fucking joke. Would you even know there was a political rally for the next potential President and VP there and not just a cop looking for easy speeding tickets if there wasn't a reporter there?

Blue Arizona my ass.

This is a fucking joke.

They don't need to actually create the energy. They just have to have a plausible event to point at after they rig the election so the half of the country that only listens to the narrative and will NEVER accept a Trump win can fall behind.

"Of COURSE they won Arizona with 185% of the vote, didn't you see they DIRECTLY CAMPAIGNED THERE?! Fucking conspiracy theorist racist trumptards!"

I'm wondering about Whitmer. When was she elected into the governor's office? Has she done anything about Flint and any of the other major issues occurring in Michigan?

Or is she just a reasonably attractive and ambitious chick who got in and has spent her entire campaign trying to throw quips to Drumpf on Twitter?

Flint has been blamed on the Republicans for some unknown reason. Some Republican did some shit like 10 fucking years ago in a political office far away form Flint that allowed it to go to shit. Can't remember which progressive outlet or person said that.

To add on to this Trump only lost New Hampshire by around 3,000 votes give or take which is damn near razor thin, in 2017 there were also allegations in the state about potential voter fraud perpetrated by the Democrat Governor but it never amounted to any federal charges. Hillary's victory in the state was the smallest margin of victory there for a Democrat since Woodrow Wilson narrowly won the state in the 1916 election and by the voting numbers Republicans turns out very strongly in 2016 for Trump which blew a hole in the expectations of pollsters covering the state.

The governor of Michigan was a Republican at the time, that's literally all the media and activists needed as an excuse to blame the whole thing on the GOP.

Whitmer was elected in 2018 with around 10% of the vote against her Republican opponent, a pretty solid win that would come back to bite Michiganders in the ass sooner than they thought.

The news article here wants you to subscribe but I was able to read it just using the Google cache so it bypassed the subscription bullshit.

She reached a 600 million dollar settlement with various lawsuits in Flint but some in the community don't seem to be overly pleased with how Whitmer used blacks to get elected and apparently just ditched them to the curb once she got into office.

And here's another story that seems to go into more detail regarding the settlement.

Is this a closed-door event or some sort of outdoor event?

If it is a private indoor event I can only cross my fingers and hope for a 47% gaffe or a "basket of deplorables" moment. Then again, Biden has one of those almost every day and it gets ignored. I guess we don't deserve to know. Also you don't need to get out of the way. You keep on standing right in front of that camera, gorgeous.

Have you noticed the only people attending these events are Biden staff and MSM reporters?

They're keeping the public out of these events purportedly because of Covid but a more important reason is to keep unauthorized recording devices away from Biden. When he knows he's being interviewed in front of TV cameras he says stuff like "voters don't deserve to know" if he'll pack the court. What do you think he says in a more casual discussion?

Niggerfaggot, but that's beside the point.

Biden continues to trounce Trump in states he's barely touched. I swear the old guy's touched every part of Pennsylvania. It's almost as if he lives right next to it.

MSM will have pundits saying he has a 99% chance to win by this the middle of the month. 98% if ACB fills the seat.

I like how they using the 2012 era Joe Biden picture and not his 2020 current self.

A Biden win will also probably mean the end of popular campaigns. Why the fuck would you pay money to campaign consultants and schedule rallies and stuff when someone just got into the White house by literally sitting on their ass all day doing jackshit. This is more demoralizing in some ways than Trump shit posting his way in 2016.
