Or the ever annoying "Let's not talk about politics" when you start pushing back against their opnion after they've used every single opportunity to bring up Orange Man Bad. If you try and push past that you're just going to get back an emotional response of "Well I still hate him/He's still an asshole/etc." that doesn't actually refute your point. At that point, they'll probably start attacking you in some way with "I can't believe you'd say that/think that" or "I didn't know you were that kind of person!" to make you feel like it's your fault they can't deal with differing opinions.

My advice is to just not bother trying and save your mental/emotional well being because woman are really good at emotional manipulation. I've given up entirely on trying to discuss politics with my mother since she consumes CNN at almost all hours and her view on reality is so warped anything that goes against what the talking heads tell her promotes the responses described. God, I'm not looking forward to the meltdown come November if/when Trump wins.

Reminds me of this video shared to me as being super funny. I'm just sad seeing Weird Al in it though at least his TDS seems way more mild then the Schmoyoho editing up of the debate part of the song.

It may soon be time to reevaluate whether Danny Boy is deserving of a lolcow thread, if he starts in on this stuff more heavily. From what we've seen, a little bit of TDS rarely stays as a little bit of TDS. Once they get rolling on it and get some asspats and endorphins off of it, it quickly seeps into everything they do and turns them into trainwrecks. He works himself into enough of a froth and he might be worth pointing and laughing at on a regular basis after all.
