Nah, it's over after the Election, that's the only reason it drags on... the proponents think it hurts Trump somehow.... either by reminding people of his "failure" to control it, or just trying to get them too scared to go to the polls and keep the economy from recovering so he'll get the blame.
If Biden wins, the first media-touted "success" of his administration will be getting COVID under control and giving the okay to stop with the Kabuki Dance that is mask mandates.
If Trump wins, they'll drop them quietly because the only reason they existed was to get Orangeman out, and if they fail in that goal, well, the politicians didn't really believe in them or like wearing them any more than you did.

I expect Trump having to twist the arm(s) of a lot of folks until they call uncle to drop this mask shit. If they lose, the left isn't just gonna drop it after the election is over. If anything, I expect them to double down on this shit and introduce even more draconian shit. Mostly in blue areas. Most red states have stopped most of the drastic shit. Its the business sector who needs a good ass whoopin to drop the mask policies as well.
They're gonna keep up these draconian tactics to "teach these redneck sister fuckers a lesson for NOT voting blue" etc.
I forgot about that. I mean that's nice and all. But Walmart will still keep their mask policies in place until otherwise. Either by Trump making them an offer they can refuse or being told by the DNC to drop it.
By Financial Incentive, I mean tax breaks or some other shit. Not Trump allowing them to buy TikTok. Trump understands that they only care about their bottom line. If he can do something to affect their bottom line, then they'll perk up their ears and listen.

To be fair, Beijing is trying really hard to both stop this deal (because all Chinese businesses belong to Xi!) and to pretend it isn‘t an authoritarian hellhole. Nothing is done yet. This just means the Waltons might owe Trump a favor.
And the data harvesting/ad revenue from Tiktok is infinitely more valuable than a couple tax breaks.

The problem there is, you just create an echo chamber. I go into a TES thread and they are talking about how Trump is so feeble he can't walk down a ramp. Then I watch the video, listen to his speech, and it turns out he wears leather soled shoes, so he had to shuffle or go ass end over, then in the uncut video, he walks normally as soon as he gets off the ramp.
And I'm sure in this thread, we've gotten stuff wrong and could use some correction. But it seems everyone is happy with their echochambers. Okay then. Seems everyones happy with the arrangement.
