"Anime swordsmen" is also a meme criticism of Smash, it's mostly a result of Fire Emblem being over-represented. A lot of their protagonists have similar movesets and for whatever reason, they got lazy with making them distinct despite having material for it. I'm pretty sure it gets mocked by fans of Smash who see it as a casual misinformed opinion.
I'm stupidly late with this but I really do not understand his thing with comparing every crossover with the Avengers. Calling Jump Force "Manga Avengers", now Smash Bros is "Nintendo Avengers", etc. What in the world do these things have in common? It only makes sense if you view "The Avengers" as a cynical way for corporations to flaunt their IPs with no rhyme or reason which no, it's not, you're not getting Kermit, Rey, and Buzz Lightyear there.
