No one here is saying that. The concept of vaccines is not under any sort of criticism in this thread. Some people are leery of it being rushed into production. Some people are leery because of the authoritarian measures we've been all but promised will accompany this particular vaccine. The only one bringing up the anti-vax specter is you, because apparently you feel the need to go on a dickstroking bender about how cool, brave, and euphoric you are for having a vaccine fetish.

A vaccine will fuck with you one of two ways: either virus wasn't as dead as it could have been, or you have a reaction to usually the adjuvant, which is basically something to trigger your body to attack the dead virus and make antibodies. They don't come up with new adjuvants every time there is a new vaccine. You use what's existing and proven safe.

There are two parts to a vaccine. You first have to make sure you've isolated the virus. Virus mutate, but not all of the parts of the virus change at the same rate, so you need to identify these slow-changing parts. This is why you need your MMR boosters every few years - these viruses change rapidly, and if you aren't getting booster shots, your antibodies may not be latching on to the latest strains. Once that's done, you need to confirm that those parts will actually allow your antibodies to latch on in such a way to render the virus inert. Then you need to package that shit up - you need to make sure the stabilizers keep everything from breaking down and usually you need to include an adjuvant to actually make your immune system react.

Then you have to run your vaccine, through multiple rounds of testing.
You have to make sure your vaccine sans-virus is safe. Then you have to prove your potent viral load does what it says. You also need to prove your virus is truly intert. Then then run through a shit ton of lab trials with publically collected specimens to make sure your vaccine formulation nor the deactivated virus is not causing undue reactions; and THEN you can start recruiting for clinical trials.


When I signed up for H1N1 it was testing an adjuvant. Not a new adjuvant. One used for 20 years and proven safe enough for other vaccines. They just hadn't tested it with THIS virus before, and this adjuvant had a one in 100,000 chance it would cause an alergic reaction ranging from "itch" to "hives" to "epipen" and they had to make sure this formulation didn't raise that risk unacceptably. 2 months delay on the vaccine, and no idea if it ever made it to market, because they needed to make sure this new virus wasn't going to cause an added risk of allergic reaction.

These are the sorts of safe guards getting waived. This is not radical new science.
I'm more concerned the vaccine won't work than any reaction, which given I'm not concerned about the coof, is not a big risk. Worst case, I'm immune and I'm not the asshole vector who infects everyone else.

Trump's seeing inordinately high averages in all of these different minority communities, he's seeing abnormally high levels of support in the gay community, he's seeing spikes in younger voting groups and moderates, undecideds, and first-time voters, and yet every single poll that they push at us tell us that he's losing by very substantial margins. What was the last one they tried to push this morning, that Biden was +21 in Maine or something?

How do they expect people to believe that Trump's support in all of these different groups be on the rise, and his support in the polls be consistently on a downward trend? They spend so much time trying to isolate all of the individual narratives to spin them as negatively as possible that they consistently forget to lean back, look at the big picture, and ask whether the entire narrative makes sense anymore.

I've tried to tell people, that by the percentages Trump did worse with white people than McCain/Romney did. He made gains with asians and latinos that made up for it however.

The Constitution Party, the American Solidarity Party, the Alliance Party, and Kanye West's Birthday Party all have candidates this year. Not in every state, looks like only the Libertarians managed that. But you've still got some options for a right wing Fuck You vote.

Well, I have bad news for you, because I ain't taking it. Especially not for one that's less deadly than the normal cold and flu.

Next year when the state governments want to justify keeping their dictator powers or in 2024 when they need to bring lockdowns back to destroy the economy again so the Republicans can't win under guise of "well SOME PEOPLE refused to take the vaccine so it mutated and is now LITERAL SPACE HITLERAIDS" I want everyone to remember that already know of HUNDREDS of variants of NCOV-SARS2, aka "COVID19." There were 3 major variants a month in, and each one of them had dozens and dozens of subvariants, to the point you can track the infection spread patterns based on the mutations a given infection had.

It's a Coronavirus. You can't vaccinate against it, they mutate constantly, that's what they do. The proper fix for this was a small localized nuclear strike in Wuhan, China back in November 2019, but, you know, hindsight is 20/20.

Here's more hindsight and a bit of a blackpill that will make the upcoming war with China go down better: All those weird fucking things like entire apartment buildings of people howling in pain and terror at night? People falling over and twitching like mad, or having weird seizures in hospital lobbies? None of that shit's occurring in the west.
