I've seen articles admitting that he got zero bump from the convention. None. Like, his polls remained static throughout the entire DNC airing. That shouldn't even be possible but they managed it.

But other than that, the progressives (read: communists) are pissed because they got fucked over by the neo-libs in the primaries -- TWICE -- but they're also fucking stupid and think they have more support than they do. (Progshits are 8% of the US, and only a fraction of that are "active.") They can see things are swinging back against them -- Trump's about to get a second term, the Zoomers don't believe in wokeshit near as much as their indoctrination suggests they should, the right has suddenly started fighting back in the culture war, et cetera.

In short, they're rapidly reaching a point where it's now or never for their communist uprising, and if they don't get it now it'll be another 20-30 years before the time is right again.

At the same time the neo-libs thought that letting the progressives riot would harm Trump, but Trump refused to step on that rake, and it turns out the neo-libs don't actually have control over the Marxist insurrectionists that make up the extreme progressives. Combine this with the dregs of American society showing up to get free shit and destroy shit -- Kyle shot 3 people and all 3 were serial felons, what are the odds? -- and you get a mess that the neo-libs, discovering they don't actually have the control they thought they had, don't know what to do about.

The fact that one of them is clearly still holding a gun in one of the images taken of him after he got shot is hurting their narrative a lot too. They're desperately trying to paint these guys as innocent victims and yet every single tweet about it is getting spammed with the picture of the armshot fucker holding a pistol and videos of the other ones attacking him. The revolution did in fact turn out to be livestreamed but it turns out that wasn't exactly to the benefit of the left.
