I’m gonna go ahead and say we were both slightly wrong. It does appear that Russell was commenting on her IG and emailing her in 2018, but it was one sided. You win that one, though 2018 is not the same as 2017.

I was talking about their “first contact” meaning their first back and forth messages to eachother, which were in 2019. I think an interesting insight into Rusty's psyche is that he was raised in a staunchly religious environment. I'm sure many kids grow up that way with the strict codes of conduct. FYI: Bishops can be pretty much any age as long as they've got the Priesthood and are Temple Worthy. It isn't like most other Christian religions where being a Priest or Pastor is a job or a permanent position. This is one of the more insidious things about Russell, the way he prides himself on avoiding the consequences of his actions. Early in this thread he was banned from Lyft for harassing the female drivers (which he claimed was just messaging them and being friendly because of course) and he bragged about how he just made a new account with a new number. The rules are just something he laughs off, which is why he needs serious jail time for harassing Erica. He needs to know that he is not immune from punishment.
I also find it ominous how Russell describes getting laid as a literal necessity, like breathing or drinking water. That reflects in his refusal to accept rejection. Maybe to him, denying him sex is like drinking water in front of a man dying of thirst and refusing to give him any. That's troubling.
I love how he points out that his classmates were also not getting laid (or weren't supposed to) as it's against school policy, but then whines that the policy was ableist against him.
The policy is that NO ONE is allowed to have premarital sex...so he literally has no disadvantage compared to his able-bodied equals...thus undermining the entire point that "i need sex workers bc disabled"
