I liked that they picked Frakes. He's actually one of the more expensive Trek people at $200. Only LeVar Burton is more, at $300. Picardo is a great choice too.

I still think the most entertaining bit RLM has ever done was when Jack and Rich discussed which franchise would actually win the Franchise War in Demolition Man and their strategies.

That was a good podcast type episode while you're working, and you can just tell they want to talk this time, not just bitch and moan about new stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if they push this to three parts.
edit: I should mention I never watched any Star Trek outside of the recent movies but I always enjoy hearing them talk about this stuff.
