What a perpetration of nonsense. Had there been some enormous massacre of gay men in Victorian England, we would have already known that. There would have been descriptions of nearly daily executions. It would have been a fucking bloodbath. By the late 19th Century, sodomy prosecutions were rare and usually political, e.g. the case of Oscar Wilde, who pissed off the wrong minor nobleman and made the mistake of a libel lawsuit in which the very allegations of homosexuality he was suing over were proven from his own prosecution of the case, more or less forcing a criminal case to be brought.
Yeah, think how we treat pedophelia. Pretty much everyone hates pedos, so much in fact that they have to be protected in prison from the other in mates. Despite this only some get prosecuted and even fewer get lynched, why? Mostly because they just keep that side of them hidden and so nobody has reasons to look into it. There might be rumors but untrue slandering rumors have always been thing so people tend not take those too seriously. That also means going public about accusing someone of being a pedo can backfire. It's a horrible accusation so public can turn against you if they see your accusations as untrue and trying hurt someone by ruining their reputation. Homo stuff used to be similar. If you kept behind closed doors and generally lived life that didn't warrant that much attention, there might be rumors but nothing special enough to people to care beyond that.

My good friend, Chirpy, Scouse, Drag Queen Joss Prior reports on a Terven Plan to protest naked against the Troons. Archive Joshua-boi asserts that the average Troon would “pass” on such a naked protest. Now, I’ll give Prior this, with tons of lippy and filters he passes Ok, but he’s one of the 0.02% of MTF troons who do. 99.92% are contenders for the most repulsive tranny thread on the farms.

This seems as real as the free bleeding hoax.

It wasn't even like that. There were occasional outbursts of persecution, but most people didn't care much. Oscar Wilde was as close to openly gay as it was possible to be and very few people really cared much about it. It's possible people even just viewed it as something he was pretending to be just to shock people. Specifically, the not terribly literate Marquess of Queensberry called him a "posing Somdomite [sic]" in the famous calling card the libel suit was about (yes that is the Marquess of Queensberry who the boxing rules are named after and he was a rather pugilistic guy Wilde would have been better off avoiding).

Didn't we have a gay president- James Buchanan? His lover was named King Fancy and his niece served as the first lady. I don't think he was like "out" but people pretty much knew what was up.

I meant that places that were/are homophobic it's easy to stay under redar as long as you aren't complete social retard or piss off wrong people. Most people don't want to think what others do get off, regardless if they approve the method or not. You can be a queer, a rapist or a pedo, and most people are happy not to care. Usually their intrest starts and ends with juicy rumors. Doing something about it is unpleasant work, they rather think something else and everyone knows that untrue rumors are a thing. As long as people have don't know or have "better" explanation (like he's just joking) to wierd sexual behavior they tend to let it go.

He was also a shockingly bad President and anyone who insists anyone in this century is the worst President of all time really has to account for how they were worse than Buchanan.

Except people literally want to kill pedos and sometimes actually do.

And people have literally killed people over rapes and being gay. Do I need make muslims trowing gays off the roof joke? Rapist are not much more liked. Heck people have killed their own daughers over being raped because technically that's sex out of wedlock. People do fucked up things over fucking, that's nothing new.

One of the most notorious pick-up areas was the promenades of the Empire theatre. At that time the Empire Theatre had no dividing wall between the seats and the bar behind, and you were free to move between the two at will during the show - next time you hear someone complaining about kids eating popcorn noisily at the cinema and how it used to be different, tell them that:

In the 1890s the Empire in Leicester Square was justly famous as a Variety and Musical Hall theatre especially for its spectacular ballet productions and its ‘Living Pictures’ – frozen-moment representations of well-known paintings or other familiar scenes where seemingly half-naked young men and women stood very very still.

In reality, the dominant attraction, and to what Wilde was probably referring, was the Empire’s second-tier promenade. This was an area behind the dress circle, where you could still see the stage if you wanted to, but was essentially a pick up joint for high class prostitutes. The theatre charged half a crown (12 1/2p) for a rover ticket that gave you licence to enjoy the promenade. There was room to wander around but there were also comfortable seats and what was called an ‘American Bar’ serving one shilling cocktails such as the ‘Bosom Caresser’ and the ‘Corpse Reviver’.

.......

When the Empire Theatre management put up canvas screens to hide the auditorium from the Promenade they were quickly torn down by a rioting audience. They were egged on by the young Sandhurst cadet Winston Churchill who wrote to his brother:

Did you see the papers about the riot at the Empire last Saturday? It was I who led the rioters – and made a speech to the crowd – “Ladies of the Empire, I stand for Liberty!”.

......

At a cheaper price of only one shilling the Empire Theatre’s first tier promenade was said to be THE gay pick-up location in the whole of London. A letter to the council dated 15 October 1894, just six weeks after Mrs Chant’s visit to the theatre, described the rough ejection of a man from the shilling promenade by Robert Ahern, the front of house manager. The letter writer described the man who was thrown out “as a ‘sodomite’ as were perhaps half the occupants of that promenade, that it was the only venue for people of this kind, and that he ‘could lay his hands on 200 sods every night in the week if he liked.”

" I of course coped by crying for 5 minutes for pretty much no reason and it was extremely validating! 10/10"

Crying alone for no reason is a normal thing that all girls do every day!
Seriously though, have these people actually interacted with real life women before? Or are they getting these ideas of what women do from anime?

Edit: Also I just found this and I just have to share it:
It's worth a read, I promise lol.
Just true and honest woman things~

I can't say crying has ever made me feel more womanly, it's just generally upsetting and possibly embarrassing. OP also mentions being more interested "in the cuteness of dogs and babies and stuff!" As if men never notice or appreciate cute things.

Anyway your links led me to this shit. Thanks.

also sodomy hasn't carried a penalty anywhere close to execution anywhere in the west for a very very long time.
in times as recent as the victorian era, it would be punished (rarely) by short prison sentences. the social damage of being outed as a sodomite was usually far, far greater than the damage imposed as punitive measures by the justice system.

Oscar Wilde got a prison sentence for being gay, but the experience left such a scar on him he ended up dying shortly after.

Is this what they think women do when they're alone??

Once I was looking at pictures of Angelica Ross (that black tranny who was in the show Pose) but I didn’t realize it was him and I was just like “damn, that’s one ugly looking woman”. I couldn’t pinpoint what it was about the person’s face that made me think they were ugly, but I know that all I could focus on was how out of place and off their face looked and I felt bad because (at the time) I thought it was an actual black woman and I didn’t want to be all “black women are ugly”. So I checked to see who the fuck the “woman” in the picture was and I found out it was actually a black tranny and it hit me why my brain told me “something isn’t right with this person’s face” before I even knew WHY: Angelica Ross had makeup and a long wig on and was dressed femininely and he was obviously trying to look female (duh cos he’s a tranny) but since he isn’t a female I was getting uncanny valley vibes and that was the “off” feeling I was getting as I was looking at those photos.

It’s like my brain was subconsciously clocking his transness without me even realizing it. There are subtle cues and small things that make up male and female bodies (like I said in a previous post) that troons just can’t replicate no matter how much plastic surgery they get. I still don’t know what it was about Angelica Ross’s face that made my brain get uncanny valley vibes before I realized he was a tranny. I wish trannies would just accept that they will never have all of the things of the opposite sex instead of screeching like insolent children and demanding that everyone else play pretend with them.

I have studied troon faces a lot lately, and I believe one major giveaway (apart from the obvious, like jawline and mid-face length) is a lack of subcutaneous fat cushioning the features. A woman has to lead a very extreme lifestyle (e.g. 'roids, severe anorexia, late stage AIDS lipodystrophy - google it) to get down to normal male levels of facial fat. Look at the area around the lips and lower cheeks in particular; troons can get lip fillers and such, but they can't do anything about the fat that women normally store in the mid/lower face.
