I saw something on my explore page on instagram
I guess they made them a little bit more "asian" and "diverse." I believe everyone is open to change but what dumpster fire is this. One thing I cant stand about white artists is their tries to make mostly asians and black characters more "relaistic" by giving them buck teeth and hudge bulbous noses. 1 out of 10 people you meet on the street actually look like this. I rather them have all white characters than poor ploys at diversity.

May sound "political of me" but for once a tweet makes a good point. Maybe sjws get a point for this. Even without race in mind, that original Elsa concept looked really nice

It's definitely not as bad as what we've seen, but still...why? He literally took Jessica and colored her brown for no reason. Didn't even change the hair color to black or anything to fit.

they always change the skin color but never the hair color or eye color. lets give her brown skin but keep the causasian features such as straight red hair and blue eyes.
if youre gonna make her black, make her black. give her brown eyes and black curly hair.

So many of the cool designs are from when she was still going to be the villain. They wanted to make Elsa the villain, but then they heard Let It Go and thought it'd be a great triumph song and made her not the villain but kept the villainish progression, so she ends up being a selfish, unlikeable person who we're supposed to root for while she abandons her kingdom and runs away to live in the mountains while everyone starts freezing to death. Then on top of that, Disney decided they absolutely needed a villain, so they just made Hans go evil apropros of nothing in what has to be the most forced twist in modern animation.
If they had just let Elsa become a villain, even if they kept a lot of what they ended up with already, Frozen would've been a much better movie.

Yeah I do agree the concept art for a project will look better than the finished piece, I just wish he didn’t make it into such a horrible racist issue that needs to fixed, plus most of the time character concepts changes are added for better marketing purposes I wished he make the argument of how non creatives have the final say when it comes to character design

My biggest problem with the SJW style is that none of the artists know how to make unconventional features look appealing and all the characters they draw end up looking like caricatures.
For example, Gwen in Spider-Verse has a gap in her teeth, an undercut and uneven hair, all features that are generally considered unattractive or unconventional yet her character design looks appealing and her unconventional features fit her personality. Same with Olivia with her angular features and wild hair, Half the Mario characters, etc. etc. (I can't think of any more examples at the moment but there are plenty)
Attack on Titan is also another series with a great example of a diverse cast with plenty of unconventional features especially since SJWs want to whine about how manga characters all look the same.
If SJWs only bothered to learn what makes an unconventional character look appealing I wouldn't have a problem but the fact that they throw every single thing classified as unconventional onto one character just makes their art look racist, hideous and even satirical at times

I used to be a Tumblrette, it's not about conventionals. I will say most of the artists in this fourm are 12-17, a real open time for finding your style. I drew like a ton of these other artists for 4 whole years and it's not about art fundamentals, it's about another 15 year old teaching you "diversity" in poor sources. They copy one another. Then I noticed that I was the blackie apart of the so called diversity being drawn like a caricature and dipped. Learning that "this character needs to be less sexy!" And "another vitiligo character to top it off" is taught not born, I hope it dies out soon. Racebending is I guess moderately alright if they want inclusion but they dont actually care about a portfolio and art fundamentals, I promise. They are more worried about looking like sweet activists with good hearts than actual talents. It's usually fake and sling slurs from time to time. I hope that makes some sense. It's a competition to se who is more progressive or not, because most of the time in these shows they draw to be progressive are already diverse.

Because Disney wants to convince little kids to buy merch, and middle-class white kids have the parents most likely to buy said merch, so they pander to middle-class white kids. On the same note, merch with black characters sells very poorly outside of the anglosphere. China's a massive market and white sells a fuck of a lot better than black.

Yes they do and it's ingrained into their system so hard core the only way out is to succeed in school (Top .01%) or move to another country to find ANYTHING else besides being the servant or menial job of your light skinned masters. I have friends who's families have the same set of 'house workers' (read slaves) for many generations and neither side has any problem about it. The poors get a house, wage, food and have to basically do house work, their kids get a semi-better life than literally living in shit, and the family pays them from their hard earnings they got by being the top 1-3% of society jobs (Dr's, Tech people, gov't workers, etc.).
