You know, I've seen some fucked up shit in my life, more so than most people. What with the schizophrenia, witnessing the aftermath of suicide, extended stays in psych wards, fucking cults even, but goddamn. I've only ever met one person in my entire life who freaked out like this when cornered, and even that person has the good sense to do so in private.

But Chloe? She is special, though not at all in the way she likes to pretend she is. Rani is pretty epic too. They're perfect for each other.

The bitch has no idea what being disabled is actually like. I doubt she could handle being subjected to a real mental or physical disability for more than five minutes. As it is she's just lazy and entitled.

You know why it's easy to spot someone faking a disability? Because people who are faking it try to milk sympathy for all its worth. People with disabilities don't do that. They fight every day for a better life, for self-improvement, and to stand on their own two feet (literally and figuratively) without needing help. There's a universal understanding of struggle between people hampered by disabilities, and that's lacking in Chloe. She's not in it to overcome anything; she just wants ass-pats and donation money. Her endless lies already made it obvious that she's faking, but that missing mentality cinches it.

All of them deny their birth penises, act like shrieking manchildren on social media, spew Tumblr bullshit, all have done crazy and/or illegal shit both before and after their transitions, and spend their days try to bilk the internet into giving them a free ride while trying to deny their embarrassing pasts/presents.

Okay, I get Gamergate led to a lot of this for those that make games, but seriously, what suddenly brought all these lolcows out of the woodwork to pull variations of the exact same e-begging scheme, even though all of them them have been exposed to some greater or lesser degree as delusional frauds?

I think about this subject quite often. I think it's the result of a mostly positive movement, the idea of artists finally understanding that it's important to have many ways to get paid. As industries shift, money becomes more and more of a moving target, so if you're say, a musician and the only way you have to get paid is by handing a physical CD to someone and getting money in return, you're fucked. You gotta have digital sales, you gotta have donations, you gotta have merch, you gotta cast as wide of a net as you can for fans to give you money. People want to give money to people who create things they like but you gotta either make it VERY convenient for them to pay or you have to get the emotionally invested. Anything else wont suffice.

With Patreon, the convenience is built. Jack Conte took care of all the heavy lifting for that part. Then they just combine that with the victim narrative and even if they suck at the whole con, they're at least guaranteed to get SOME suckers. And being transgendered makes it incredibly simple to portray yourself as a victim.

My girlfriend worked in a "scammy" sort of industry a few years ago, it was the sort of thing that she could do passively, all she had to do was leave her computer on for a few hours to engage in it. Even without trying, some new moron would always show up, every single day, essentially begging her to steal his money. If you have a good scam you don't even have to try and this is a great scam for them.

In the hands of say, Amanda Palmer (ugh), this is an incredibly positive force that allows artistic flexibility. Unfortunately, the line between artist and bullshitter has never been more blurred which makes the tactic a useful one for these types. And just like musicians, we see the whole range of ability here. We have masterful grifters BWU, middling ones like Randi Harper and utter failures like Chloe.

You can do all of those things. It's been a long (but fulfilling) first week at work.

Though, really, I wasn't saying all that for sympathy or to pull the classic "I'm better than Chloe because..." bullshit. It was pertinent to the point I was making. Chloe is so ridiculous that she would be noticeable even in the psych ward, which is a markedly different section of mental hospitals than those with mood disorders. The psych ward is the real deal.

These kinds of assholes have always been there. They're a natural match for the Cultural Hegemonist assholes and they integrate nicely with other forms of social parasite. I urge you to check out my post on the matter. TL;DR they've been around generations and it's only now that they've really started to become visible and easier to react to.

The thing is, Gamergate did, if literally nothing else, the entire internet a service, and due to so many Anti-GGers being into criminal enterprise or involved in incestual conflicts-of-interest, the natural thing happened - each bit of digging reveals a juicy new slice of "holy shit, are you fucking serious" to analyze. This, of course, means heightened visibility on people who want anything but visibility. As has been said innumerable times, these people cannot operate outside of the safe space hugbox. They form very insular communities with the intention of limiting the ability of others to do anything about their shit.
