Also I checked that Sophia Frentz person very quickly. Typically when you search a bioscientist you will first find publications and university associations then other crap. With Frentz a boring-ass Twitter was the very first thing you find. This person claiming to be a PhD has apparently 3 publications (that would not be enough for a PhD here) and Frentz is not the first author in any of those. They're all basic genetics, though in one of them the abstract discusses the survival of male hemizygotes with X-linked mutations. Apparently the first author of that paper did not agree about biological sex being a continuous scale.

I think it's rather counterproductive at this point to categorize sexuality by categories relevant to social statistics and policy when professionals such as Blanchard want to find out how their minds work and we want to laugh at exceptional individuals. There are, after all, only two sexes and therefore only three sexual orientations.

It’s like saying that people having 5 fingers on a palm is a bigotry because some are born with bigger/smaller amount of fingers due to mutations. I've noticed that when you're prepping for your PhD you're supposed to be the first author as the last author typically is the group leader/supervisor who guided the study, meaning they're of course most important but not the the biggest contributor writing- or labwork-wise. But this can be different in other fields/countries. The guidelines I've heard most often are that when you're working towards your PhD you should try to be the first author in at least two different articles. This also typically helps with getting funding.

But yeah, I'm not saying Frentz cannot have a PhD, it is very possible that she is. My frame of reference is based on what is typically done where I live. But given her publication history I would not really call her an authority on the subject as three publications is not really that much (and none of them have anything to do with intersex conditions).

I'm going to guess bad touch issues. Sadly many young girls that got sexually abused unconsciously make themselves ugly. Be it trough eating too much or little, shaving their head and getting tattoos or just becoming a super mega bitch, they want not be desirable to those that would hurt them. If you look into detransitioning stories, most of them seem to be of females who were groomed hard. MTF tend to stay the course and die on whatever beach they chose to fight on, while in FTM's case there's just a truly enormous amount of peer pressure to fit in, "embrace your true gender" and rush to get top surgery. Even if the impetus of their dysphoria (if they have any) is sexual assault or neglect during childhood. But the point is, sometimes it becomes too much, that's why you see a lot more FTM detrans than MTF detrans untl after it's way too late.

Transgender status on troons is the definition of a meme: it's a self-propagating idea that spreads like a virus. And it's not hard to see why: at its core being transgender isn't so much about gender as it makes people feel good about themselves. But it does so in a very toxic and self-destructive way. They become unique individuals, with a struggle they have to undergo every day, and they receive massive amounts of attention from the other troons around them. And above all, they don't have any objectives in life until becoming transgender gives them one: transitioning. To me it's an extreme form of attention seeking and a desire for validation; maybe their parents didn't love them enough, or they were bullied/excluded at school, and since gender bending is en vogue at the moment it gets them positive attention online in the form of "so valid uwu!"

They also seem to be doing it as an extreme middle finger to society - they have this idea in their head that society is unfairly restrictive with what is and isn't acceptable for each sex to do, and think that going on hormones to grow beards, tit hair and mega-clits while still wearing makeup and dresses is making some sort of statement. see: Milo Stewart and her desire to become a "gender confusion".
