It was pretty bullshit, and despite sticking through all the agenda-driven bullshit previously because the core gameplay wasn't terrible, that announcement just maimed my interest in future content. It was such an obvious exploitation.

The trilogy has had 3 African-American people in the cast (Amara seems way more Indian than black to me) - Roland, BALEX and Clay. Roland is dead and despite being the creator and leader of the Crimson Raiders, he got virtually no recognition in the third game beyond some statue with some writing on it. BALEX and Clay are side characters, both had a handful of missions and haven't been in anything after that.

One final thought before I (attempt) to give myself some peace instead of following this so closely. I think this is about to go out with a whimper. Looking around twitter, the reactions from most people are lukewarm at best and the numbers just aren't turning out to retweet, comment, or like anymore. Most people have tired of it and are going "what are next" as they always do, but I truly don't believe they'll be dumb enough to abolish the police, and even if they do, it'll be some half assed 12 hour ordeal before it's fixed. Don't let people around you forget about this, though. Don't let them forget what just happened, because they will, just like everything else in the past 5~ years. The only thing we can do is keep people informed about what's actually going on as individuals, because otherwise all we're doing is jerking off into a corner of the web the same as people on Twitter, and I'd like to hope I'm at least 1% better than that.

This whole thing has a ton of whitepills. RWDS didn't just jump out of the woodworks; they couldn't even find a way to falseflag it. Many, many people are going to leave these cities now and hopefully make better lives for themselves while the looting joggers will remain, asking for gibs we all know they'll get, but they'll be isolated. Nothing went the way they'd hoped. Sure, that could lead to them actually falseflagging a happening, but the reality is, the everyday person learned a lot from this whole event, and those on the fence moved a bit closer to the sane side.

What they got right. They picked an actual case of police brutality, not some chimp who was trying to choke a cop or a jogger who was beating a 'white Hispanic' and got what was coming. Their initial media campaign was brilliant, they were pushing on an open door true, but you've got to give it to them they know their optics.

What they got wrong. They allowed protests to descend into mass looting and mayhem which alienated their target demo, normies. The BLM crowd are racist pieces of shit who fucking reveled in humiliating whitey, and it showed. The media campaign failed to gain real traction for all the amplification and astro turfing. The press can SAY it's a mass movement with tens of millions of supporters, but we all have eyes and when only a few thousand white danger hairs rock up to the biggest demonstrations it looks off. But the main thing they got wrong is they allowed the extreme elements to take over and start making insane demands like disbanding police departments. Maybe 1% of the population would support that, maybe. Now they're coming across like total lunatics, 'anti fascists' attacking a statue of Winston Churchill? Holy shit they're retarded. This is like Occupy Wall St, but gayer.

I'll address all of these because I have a bug up my butt about this.

1) Defund the Police = Great! Lets take the money that would have gone to the police and give it to the store owners who lost their businesses during the rona and the riots. Oh? You don't want to do that? Why not?

2) Demilitarize Communities = This is a fancy way of saying outlaw guns, isn't it?

3) Remove Police from Schools = Doesn't part 1 already cover this one? Also, I can't wait for the first school shooting to force everyone to demand security goes back in school.

4) Free People From Jail and Prisons = Yes. Absolutely, and let all the sex offenders, rapists, murderers, and drug dealers go live in the suburbs and gated communities.

5) Repeal Law that Criminalize Survival = Oh, so I guess guns are okay then.

6) Invest in Community Self Governance = Hey, it worked for The Smurfs, so it must work!

7) Provide Self Housing for Everyone = Yeah, let them live in your homes and mansions. See how long that lasts.

8) Invest in Care, Not Cops = Okay, you're just being redundant now.

I think the saddest part is that school shootings have only stopped due to the pandemic...

Gearbox software used the coon carnival as an excuse to delay a patch that was supposed to fix a huge list of issues and delayed an already delayed add on.

They didn't even delay them for a day or two...they still haven't released either and there's no ETA on when they release now.

Short term for sure, but even long term there are signs this is going to end in disaster for the kneelers. A poll (yeah I know) came out showing only 15% support defunding the police, while 65% oppose it. If Trump is smart and starts attaching that to Biden immediately its over. Even if he just calls him Joe "Defund the police" Biden from now on, that's game. It forces the media and his own campaign to go with their usual routine of "Trump is lying, Joe doesn't believe that, he doesn't want to defund the police, ANOTHER LIE FROM DRUMPF"... but look what happened to our chosen mayor when he disagreed with defunding. The loud and violent portion of the mob is all in, so every time Biden is forced to declare that he does not, in fact, support defunding the police as Trump falsely claimed, the base gets more demoralized and angry.

Because they want pets they can nurture and soothe, but above all else, they want cool pets.

Black people are downtrodden and in need of saviors. We know this because BLM exists and won't let us forget it. All black people live in constant jeopardy, and these protests are necessary to secure their safety. Black people are also very cool. We know this because they are the dominant force in music and sports, their concerns are lately at the forefront of politics, and they have their own TV channel, Congressional caucus, government and academic affinity groups, history month, culture hero with a national holiday, etc. It's not just that cool black people exist--that is uncontroversial--but the entire race is cool.

There are many other downtrodden groups who could benefit from some attention, but they aren't cool. They're gross. The dirty homeless guy who hears voices? He's gross. The quiet nerd with no partner who can't even navigate a world of extroverts? Also gross. The girlfriend who used to be cool but volunteered for the Army and came back broken? So gross. No sense in putting in effort with those losers when you don't even get to meet anyone cool. Their problems are probably their own fault, anyway. Nothing we can do about it.

This type of woman is a minority, but it's the kind of minority that drives national discourse, or at least latches onto it. They're liars, too. The loudest BLM booster I know is also a closet racist. I got her drunk one time and she told me about a secret Facebook group that tracks black restaurant patrons so they can warn each other about the bad tippers. Even cool has its limits.

But I'm starting to fear it might be sort of true. Women aren't universally dumb or naive. But they are, on average, more agreeable, and that might explain why you see easily exploitable, "naive" voter decisions (like welfare states and porous borders), after women get the vote. And there is nothing in human evolution that would make women, on average, great leaders of nations. (Of family units and their analogues, maybe. But nations aren't families.)

I would like to be wrong about this, but I don't see any other explanation for the correlation.
