This is what gets me. It's practically a repeat event. There should be no excuse for Nick and definitely no excuse for treating them like completely unwitting fools.

the funny thing is, we know the killstream clean up krew is constantly here lurking, dick took a screencap of someone talking about him here. they can pretend to be chad, but we all know they are in here reading with tears falling from their face because they know if they comment it will prove we are in their heads rent free. at this point i think ralph, gator, flamenco and dick have to disconnect their keyboard to stop themselves from typing. oh man like all these guys are in their 30s fucking loser. they all indeed got mad at the internet

Except the "just" is the crux of the issue here. Why do you think people have been talking about shielding and damage control so much? Even if it only amounts to a single helpful gesture on Nick's part, it was only one of a number of them made by literally everybody who's pals with Dick and can't admit that they've coyly run defense for him.

It started small but it was the ongoing denials and lashing out in the handling of the situation that made it as big as it was. People don't seem to even like or care about that Jesse guy but they could still tell he was being scapegoated. It's the scale and the consistency of all this that has made it really stink, whether it was co-ordinated top down or not.

Oh, I'm with you on that. The shielding of Dick over a literal fucking nothingburger from ten years ago is preposterous. I'm not defending Nick on this issueand God knows I'm not defending anyone else either. I like Nick, and I like the content he produces. Likewise I enjoy Dick's stuff. But the decisions being made about this entire thing are really making it stupid. It feels like forced drama for ratings on the part of Ralph; this is probably the most attention he's had in quite some time. In any case, I've said my piece, Nick will probably see what I've said but he agrees it was all stupid to bring them on, so I'm sure he won't take it personally.

because IIRC Dick Masterson thinks Ethan lives in a Mansion, especially if this is what he considered a "barbie dream mansion"

if they cut back on the drinking maybe, but otherwise they will keep making mistake. alcoholism isnt cool bro. they are destroying themselves physically and mentally. they need to put the bottle down and get right with god.
