You have to hand it to Phil when his back is against the wall, and his mouth is on a gin bottle, invariably he'll come out on top. I feel like if a normal person had the luck DSP has had then they'd be Jeff Bezos or at least be in a comfortable, happy place in their life.

The fact he has had the most luck ever documented and all he has to show for it is 4th place at EVO and a Chapter 7 bankruptcy is testament to what an incredible fuck up he is.

The two things are linked. The judge probably decided he was a fuck up who was going to end up screwed and decided to not be the person who screwed him.

To be honest, if I was in that situation I might well do the same thing.

So, here’s the fun part for me. Bankruptcy doesn’t magically make you good at managing your finances. He dug this hole once, now he gets to do it without credit cards—or, at the very least, with very limited access to debt. What's funny about it is that Corona-chan is going to mean the bankruptcy courts are going to be very busy in the next few months. Having his credit card debts discharged now means that Phil has beat the rush by going bankrupt early.

If there is one thing I learned coming into KF via Weeb Wars, it's that getting personally invested means you're just as autistic as the cow. Nothing kills the joke of a lolcow's life like getting genuinely emotionally involved in the stakes.
