Old af but... BUGGED GTA5 TRUCK DRIVING MECHANICS DOOD!!!

Hahnestly pretty breathtaking shit. I've never driven a "big rig" IRL either but I had zero issues doing it in the game. It's scary that he has a driver's license but can't seem to grasp basic in-game vehicular momentum and handling. Horrifying to know people like him are on the roads.

(10:57 if timestamp doesn't work.)

You only need to be good at driving for one test. After that, the only people that care are cops looking to give out tickets. I wouldn't be surprised if he had failed the test once or twice and only passed because he had lots of experience doing the test.

Remember the time in MGS3 where he gets to the sniper boss and then immediately wants to use the shotgun?

Yes you read that right he wanted to use a shotgun to take out a sniper.

To this day I'm convinced that Phil's unexplained immediate jump to the Mossberg to fight The End was because he was reading a guide (or was handheld behind the scenes). I believe this because there's a guide on GameFAQs which specifically suggests the shotgun for The End because it allows you to hold him up to get his camo, which is a somewhat-broken piece of kit in that it has a good index for most environments and causes Snake's stamina to recharge while it's being worn. I know about this because way back when I played MGS3 that was the guide I wound up using; it states that The End won't respond to being held up with weak guns and that the shotgun is the best weapon to use for this purpose. Phil being Phil of course he couldn't put this advice to use because he turned out to be too inept to ever get close enough to The End to hold him up.

FYI this turns out not to be necessary if I recall. He needs to be held up multiple times before he'll cough up the camo but any firearm will work when doing so.

the dude failed a mission where all he had to do was buy some weapons

That mission and the MGS from years ago when the game tried to radio tips and DSP told it to "shut the fuck up" then proceeded to bitch that the game didn't explain anything. Well it can't explain anything if you refuse to pay attention and mash as quickly as possible.

There was another game where there was a prompt for tutorial, DSP went on a salty rant about how it was distracting, mashed through without reading it, and STILL complained the game didn't explain it. When called out on it, DSP said it didn't count because it was annoying. I forget the game though.

probably the turbo gfx bought on his amazon wishlist a while ago

I think it's available in japan, but not in NA until 31st Dec this year

but phil has probably seen youtubers with it so he is expecting it

Guess I missed that bit of lore. His cryptic response made it sound "behind the scenes" if you know what I mean.

...so every game he complains about?

I admire that even now, as he circles a vidya-shit caked toilet bowl, Phil still values the sense of elitism that comes from getting a game before everyone else. I can't think of why day one views on this thing would matter, why his audience would want to see him play it, or why he'd want to play it if he has no nostalgia for it. At most, Khet might have wanted it, but on its own, it seems like nothing to get worked up over.

There's a clip of him begging for it, because he claimed he never played a TurboGrafx and thus needed the micro version to make his life ever so complete. He was creating nostalgia on the spot for a video game toy he's going to play once. It reminded me of the Fallout 4 tale.

The crypticness is probably because the paypig that donated it would have been banned for the offense of asking about whether or not Phil possessed something at some point.

I always thought it was weird he'd add something that was so far out from being released but then there was an issue with one of the mini consoles being sold out because of low production volume, and he really wants those day one turbo gfx mini views

I would like to note that I'm not 100% sure if it was purchased or not anymore since it's still on the list, and I had forgotten that it shows a "last purchased" date whenever something is added, I think. Still seems like the most likely item to be sent.
