I'm honestly curious how, there wasn't anything in that sentence that had anything to do with UV light, and he was finished talking about UV light when he stamped it with "we're looking into that right?".

According to the transcript, I'm unsure if he was talking about "injecting it into the solution" (presumably speaking metaphorically) or ... actually talking about injecting UV light

If we take your interpretation, then he didn't use his "very good words" or body language or speech patterns to clarify himself. If we take the sentence in the context of itself seeing as how he clearly moved on with the pause between "Sounds interesting right?" and "Then I see the disinfectant" there isn't any inference within that sentence to signify that he was still on about UV.
