The difference is that Chinese projects are also staffed with Chinese labor, unlike European colonial powers that trained the native population. If an African state nationalized a mine they would have nobody to run it.

That didn't stop them from stealing from the colonial powers who did build their own civilizations, like Rhodesia and the South African Boers. Still you're right, it might end up like the Portuguese who made very sure to demolish every last piece of infrastructure they couldn't take home with them to punish the Africans for driving them out. All of it was built by Portuguese labor (they employed a system exactly like the Chinese), and so they hated to see it given to an ungrateful and undeserving native populace.

Well yeah, the EC usually plays a role in it. Besides that, the other 2 are memes at this point and give the impression that nobody could vote for Trump for a legit reason.
