Wisconsin Supreme Court blocks governor's effort to delay primary

The Wisconsin Supreme Court on Monday ruled that Gov. Tony Evers (D) cannot delay the state’s presidential primary scheduled for Tuesday, despite fears about the coronavirus pandemic.

The 4-2 court ruling overturned Evers’s emergency order issued earlier Monday calling for the primary to be postponed, after Wisconsin Republicans filed a lawsuit challenging it.

At least two local government leaders as of Monday afternoon have ordered a cancelation of in-person voting, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Of course this is an awful idea and will lead to the death and illness of many Americans.

Anything to murder democrats.

Why are you guys even bothering with Bollywood Woke Fuckwit? Xer's either a Lefty Kool-aid drinking sped or a troll, the way xer keeps regurgitating the same tired stupid moralizing bullshit in every post (plus or minus some slight word order and word choice changes). Flag as dumb and move on with your lives.

Guys, you should have realized that @Hollywood Hulk Hogan is autistically screeching and 'tard raging this hard about "evil Republicans wanting people to be infected with the apocalyptically deadly Wuhan Flu" because he wants governors to be able to act and expand their powers unilaterally as long as they're Democrats, who are always better than the evil Republicans.

Shit, his recent posts in general, from fedoraposting to this shit, should have been rather enlightening as to his actual worldview.

I mean, the governor also ordered shit closed down, yet people don't seem to be "BUT IT SETS A BAD PRECEDENT!!!11!!" about that.
You know, I figured you were trolling at this point, because nobody could be this stupid, but you just kept going! Why is it the only lefties we get here are the kind who think pretending to be retarded is a good tactic?

30 years of PCism has taught them they don't have to refute arguments... just bawl and make themselves look stupid and say " SEE? THAT'S HOW YOU LOOK!" unaware that if you shit your own pants, well, you just shit your pants. Wearing a T-shirt with my name on it while you do it doesn't change the fact you just shit your own pants... on purpose, and that's on you, not me.

Pigeons and chessboards and all of that... .

Have you ever made a post on here where you didn't insult or look completely retarded?

I should've remembered this forum is full of right-wing edgelords who still support Trump. I should've expected this kind of retarded behavior

Have you ever made a post on here where you didn't insult or look completely exceptional?
You do realize you can just look at his posting history, right? Several times, he didn't insult or "look completely exceptional" (which, coming from you, might as well be a complement). In fact, he looks to have had a time here almost as smooth as your brain.

I should've remembered this forum is full of right-wing edgelords who still support Trump. I should've expected this kind of exceptional behavior
I find it notable that the implicit assumptions in this post are that only "right-wing edgelords" still support Donald Trump, and that this forum is "full of them". Both are completely untrue (I know that @Adamska and @Alec Benson Leary support Trump, at least begrudgingly, and they're not right-wing at all), to the point where I'm beginning to wonder how long you've posted here inside a bubble.

The only one engaging in retarded behavior has been you, who has shrieked and wailed and carried on like a hysterical troon about how Republicans are evil, and how your opponents don't actually care about human life, and generally being willfully ignorant and completely unwilling to understand how government powers granted unilaterally in emergencies real or imagined can be abused in the future because [insert shitty moralizing here].

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Do you even have the capacity to acknowledge that there might actually be some legitimate concerns the opposition has to rescheduling an election a mere week before it is to take place? Do you understand that there are logistical things that cannot simply be upended that close to the date when considering a state-wide race? Are you capable of acknowledging that Wisconsin's shitlib governor confessed to lacking the legal authority to unilaterally suspend an election before then trying to do the very thing?

No, you aren't. You have demonstrated that all you can do is piss your pants and screech like a 2-year-old.

The Wisconsin Dems should have started talking about rescheduling the election when the UW system decided to suspend the rest of the spring semester back in early March. They didn't because, much like the DNC on a national scale, they're a bunch of ineffectual fuckwits too obsessed with ORANGE MAN BAD to actually attempt to govern. Fuck off, you little assmad pissbaby.

I'd say refusing to move an election during a pandemic and putting tens (or hundreds) of thousands of people exposed to the virus is not caring about human life. You obviously have a different opinion. I think we are at an impasse here.

You are delusional if you think the majority of this board are not Trump supporters. At least, the majority in this subforum. I mean, every time I post shitting on Trump I have a bunch of people replying REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEing about their lord and savior being insulted

The Wisconsin Democrats should have scheduled the delay far earlier, working out the logistical concerns among themselves instead of this unilateral election delay that they themselves admitted they can't actually do, as others have already said in this thread. The state supreme court clearly concurred, and the primary is an irrelevant formality at this point regardless, so I'd never see it as something to get so worked up about.

We are not at any "impasse", you mongoloid. You just can't admit to being wrong.

Many people in A&N don't actually care too much about Trump, or only support in as far as he's much better than the alternative in their eyes. Avid Trump supporters are really only a plurality in A&H.

I mean, every time I post shitting on Trump I have a bunch of people replying REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEing about their lord and savior being insulted
*looks at this entire thread thus far*

Projection at its finest, folks. Nobody is REEEEEing when you put your low-IQ Twitter talking points on this site. However, you've been accusing your opponents of not caring about human life because they disagreed with you on how and whether or not the government should unilaterally expand its powers in order to meet crises.

You still don't get it. Republicans were against delaying the election from the beginning. Otherwise, they would've been fine having the absentee ballot deadline extended. What other reason could there be against extending that? Besides your retarded "SETTING A PRECEDENT!1!" thing.

Again, we are an impasse here. You obviously are a Trump supporter (based on your TDS posting history), we aren't going to agree on anything here.

Okay. They wanted the election date strictly on the election date. What the fuck is your point here?

Hell, maybe the Wisconsin Democrats could have talked to the Republicans long beforehand to make them more amiable to a delay before pulling this shit only to get smacked down.

What other reason could there be against extending that? Besides your exceptional "SETTING A PRECEDENT!1!" thing.
So you unironically believe that unilaterally self-granted government powers can't or won't be abused in the future because "muh emergency".

I guess you were fine with Dubya's wartime expansions of power as well, since that too was an "emergency".

You don't need to even be a Trump supporter to know that TDS is a real and prevalent thing, by the way.

Oh I agree, they should've started the process earlier. But setting the deadline for absentee ballots back a few weeks isn't going to be setting any precedent, you mongoloid.

They can be, but these are also unprecedented times. If there was another natural disaster or something, they'd also move it.

You don't need to even be a Trump supporter to know that TDS is a real and prevalent thing, by the way.
Amazing how you seem to never say anything bad about him and also repeatedly defend him. Amazing work for someone who isn't a Trump supporter. You could at least have the balls to admit you're a Trump supporter.

First off hulk is acting like a raging retarded faggot. This was not voter suppression. Maybe actually live in the area. The rural mostly red part of the state that is not Milwaukee didnt have as many reasons to show up a so a delay would benefit them more. The biggest deal was the democratic primary, the second big deal would be your local elections and than the supreme court. You had months to mail in a ballot. Only Milwaukee and Madison had issues and they are run by democrats so it wasnt a republican conspiracy. Milwaukee is a dumpster fire anymore and Madison is quickly becoming it as well.

Doing it unilaterally, in ways the Democrats admitted they can't actually do (you still haven't addressed that), is setting a precedent, you hydrocephalic mental amoeba.

They can be, but these are also unprecedented times. If there was another natural disaster or something, they'd also move it.
The fact that these are "unprecedented times" are immaterial to whether or not the government abuses these powers. 9/11 was "unprecedented", yet I won't hear you saying the Bush administration didn't abuse their expansive powers in the aftermath.

Amazing how you seem to never say anything bad about him and also repeatedly defend him. Amazing work for someone who isn't a Trump supporter. You could at least have the balls to admit you're a Trump supporter.
This sounds on par with calling the center-left Tim Pool a right-winger because he criticizes the leftists of this day and age. It's a complete false dilemma. I could just not like all the TDS and poor criticisms of Trump floating around the internet while not strictly being a Trump-supporter myself.

I didn't even say whether or not I am a Trump supporter (although I indeed am one), because you'd still have no point regardless.

The government already has the power to do these things you are absolutely terrified of, so I don't exactly see your point. If there was a huge hurricane or something on election day (obviously impossible in Wisconsin, but you get my point), they'd move the election. Bush absolutely abused his powers post-9/11, but there's a gigantic difference between what he did and just moving an election date back a month or two (or just allowing absentee ballots to come in later). The fact you can't grasp this shows that you have the mental capacity of a mentally handicapped eukaryotic. Althoguh since you are a Trump supporter, that should be implied. His literal strategy was to appeal to uneducated folks like yourself.

At least you finally admitted you are a Trump supporter. I will give you credit for finally having the balls to admit it. It does explain why you spend your time defending everything he does.

But anyway, all we are doing now is just insulting and marking each others posts as dumb, so I think we might as well call it a day here.

Hurricanes are markedly different in their effects than diseases, making it so you can't even get to the voting booth. Even then, the election delay wouldn't be unilateral, so this is a false analogy.

If the government already had the power to "do these things you are absolutely terrified of", then it is likely too powerful already.

Bush absolutely abused his powers post-9/11, but there's a gigantic difference between what he did and just moving an election date back a month or two (or just allowing absentee ballots to come in later).
Both still come from unilaterally self-granted emergency powers, the latter of which the Democrats themselves admitted they can't actually do, which leave themselves open for abuse, as others have already stated in this thread.

The fact you can't grasp this shows that you have the mental capacity of a mentally handicapped eukaryotic. Althoguh since you are a Trump supporter, that should be implied. His literal strategy was to appeal to uneducated folks like yourself.
And here is where the mask comes off on your pretend intellect and you go full blown "Trump supporters are just dumb dumbs and not smrt like me", despite being BTFO in this thread and the 2020 election thread.

For the record, I'm currently taking community college in STEM fields, so you can take that "uneducated folks" line and shove it up your ass.

At least you finally admitted you are a Trump supporter. I will give you credit for finally having the balls to admit it. It does explain why you spend your time defending everything he does.
I'm actually pretty open about being a Trump supporter. The fact that you're screeching about me supposedly pretending I'm not just shows how long your bubble has lasted.

But anyway, all we are doing now is just insulting and marking each others posts as dumb, so I think we might as well call it a day here.
Considering how much of a deliberately obtuse downy you've been this entire thread, I'd say it's for the best if you don't speak at all.

The biggest deal in the election was the state supreme court seat. That wasn't a primary. If it was just a primary, no one would give a shit

Hardly anyone gives a shit about a sc spot. The speds showing up to the 5 polling spots en mass in milwaukee were there for the primary and local elections. If there was not the democrat primary going on they would have not shown up in the same numbers.
