Whenever anyone has brought up paying his mods, Phil always has said the mods know they aren't getting paid when they sign up. They don't expect payment or even want payment. It's how they give back to Phil for his endless hours of free content.

As much as we give him shit for taking a day off every week, I can't help but think that if he was making better financial decisions, he could certainly afford to take more time off. All he does is complain on stream about "I GOTTA WORK DOODS, I gotta keep streaming to make money to pay my bills!" and sticks to this autistic schedule, which he's so autistic about that he literally can't wait to "clock out" and end the stream rather than go over, hence his grumpiness whenever a boss battle or something can't end in time to meet his schedule.
In reality, I'm certain most everyone here doesn't need $10,000 a month to get by. Anyone who's pulling in that much could certainly finance a big trip at least a few times a year (at least when all this COVID bullshit wasn't going on). But because of the money that Phil is funneling into mobile games and whatever the fuck else he doesn't have to show for it, he's created this lifestyle that he's dependent on and refuses to change from. I mean, we already knew how irresponsible he was when he furnished the WAkando and leased a BMW he was barely gonna drive. If he knew how to live within his means, he definitely could have gotten away with streaming less and perhaps been able to enjoy his life a little more. But nah, the mobile game high life was too strong and he's going to be really bitter when the creditors move in. Live for today, fuck the future.

Let's be honest, snowkarl wasn't banned because he was asking about Tifa, it was because Phil was mad as shit all day and snowkarl wasn't respecting the king enough by mocking him. It also provided a great excuse as to why the, perhaps wordy stream ever, was terrible - trolls just wouldn't leave him alone!
I was watching dark Dave's restream and I think 80 percent of the chat predicted he'd be back within a day too. Despite Phil saying "he is never coming back, I am not putting up with his shit anymore".
Just another piece of evidence, give him money on the regular and you'll never get banned, no matter how much you piss him off. Aside from charge backs I guess.

Thx to snowksrl and pwdubbz, we can find out how much money needs to be psid so phil is indifferent between earning extra money but getting annoyed by regulars all the time, or no extra money but also no trolling by stream regulars. This would be basically the prizetag for phil's comfort. Micro economics in action.
