Whether the difference of death rates between the sexes is due to biological makeup or due to lifestyle differences is best left to researchers, but if people are dishonest about their sexes, if Medicine and the government encourage people to be dishonest about their sexes, then no meaningful research could be done.
I have no idea what Zach tries to say here. If estrogen has been proven to reduce the death rate doctors all over the world would be using it.
Talking about "falsifiable" doesn't make you a science wiz. Both statements "men are more likely to die from covid-19 due to intrinsic, biological factors" and "men are more likely to die because their lifestyles are different" are potentially falsifiable -- but to investigate the hypotheses at all you have to DEFINE "men", and for some reason the gender-inclusive "definition" -- men are whoever who call themselves men -- won't do.
