I like his stance on religion, as I am somewhat of a Christian myself - that is I read and try to follow the Bible, even if I don't strongly believe in all the myth and divinity behind it.

There are people who are faithful to a religion, and there are people who simply know a lot about the Bible. Schmidt is the latter.
