Once you're cleared by the bank, the rest basically takes care of itself if the people you're working with are even half competent. The mechanisms are well-oiled, this same thing happens constantly across the country every minute of every day. Personally, I think this is a scam. But as far as repeatedly pushing back the closing, it could be a few things: Appraisal issues comes to mind. But that wouldn't be likely to cause repeated issues. If you've priced your house to high or too low, the appraiser comes in and tells you what the price is, and everyone goes from there. Title issues? That could be a multi-phase problem if the property has previous liens. This could cause repeated pushbacks, and so could other document-related issues, if they fucked up their paperwork YOU ALL KNOW HOW TEE HEE GIRL BRAINS ARE UWU. If the property is old, code violations could be a part of it, there are certain things that must be addressed by the seller before a house can be sold...I mean all in all I guess it's possible for all these pushbacks to keep happening, but it isn't likely. It sounds like they aren't even at the final walkthrough stage.
