Saying "teh" instead of "the". Don't know how people tolerated that. It's kinda before my time, though, but I do remember unironically saying shit like "derp", "pwn", and "epic fail" until I was around 13-14. I was kinda dumb.
Unrelated to the above, the whole "gaben=god" thing-even now that valve is making a bit of a comeback, nobody is making jokes about "Le holy gaben". Seriously he was like the Keanu Reeves of the early 2010's.

and it's not interesting or funny at all except to idiots I guess but it's the quintessential corporate normie meme, one that falls perfectly in line along with the Minions and Baby Yoda, a completely inoffensive thing for idiots to share around the office that even oversensitive middle-aged cat ladies can't get upset over, and Wikipedia has a somewhat autistic list of its mainstream appearances
Like I remember seeing it when I was really young on the news and even then wondering why on this magical new thing called the internet, that was something of note

It angered me that it was a big part of Ally McBeal despite just being a sample file included with the animation editor for 3dsMax. That's just lazy, it's like if the alien language in Arrival was wing dings and it was included because some coked up producer found it in the font list and had coked out thoughts about it.
I'm glad that the bacon meme is dead, that was tedious.

It was that thing where everything became better if it was bacon, like "more cowbell" if it was a flavor instead of sound, there was even bacon toothpaste. No one probably bought the toothpaste but because it was a meme everyone seal clapped at it. It was like the hype of adding NFC to socks except it was adding bacon to everything. Bacon-patterned aprons, bacon panties, bacon everything. It sucked.
